General / Who is your favorite sidekick ever?

Throughout gaming their has always been a illustrious line up of the role playing heroes in the shadows that don't get quite the shine as their main buddy but are still epic and powerful.  A lot of the times the sidekicks are even more likable.  .   What is your favorite video game sidekick of all time?

My favorite Side Kick is Pikachu.  Although sometimes it seems more like Ash is Pikachu's side kick  .   

Pikachu is cute, cuddly, ridiculously powerful, quick and i love him in smash bros.  But technically in video games he is a side kick because your character plays main role of protagonist.  It's hard to say though. 

But for traditional well known side kicks.  My favorite is Yoshi.   Yoshi is loyal and brave and he takes his own life just to make sure mario makes the jump.  He's the most heroic side kick for me.

I found a Coral Pink DS Lite today from savers for 7.99 .  It works great and even had the flap where the GBA games go. I also got a few Xbox one games i have been wanting to try since they dropped a bit in price

I also ordered Star Fox Zero for Wii U today .

Real super heroes don't wear capes and growing up while we all had our video game mascot that brought sunshine to our day.  When we were in need we always counted on our real life heroes to save us and protect us.   3 professions that keep the world and order .

If you had to choose one profession to pursue and become out of these 3.  Which life of being extraordinarily giving and brave would you most rather lead? 
Fireman (Fire Fighter)



Some of the most brave and amazing people you could ever know.  Fire fighters put their own lives in jeopardy to make sure that a family doesn't lose their loved one in flames. They give amazing amounts to charities and they hold rallies and fund raisers for local community children.  They have Fire truck tours for children and drive big red amazing trucks.  And when not on duty they have amazing family bonds with their fire fighting companions and they make awesome Fire house chili.   Burly, strong,  axe wielding, hose spraying heroes. 

Paramedics  (EMT)





Our next heroes are the brave men and women who are there when someone has a heart attack or when someone is bleeding or attacked.  The breathe of new air in a dying helpless soul. .   Trained Emergency Nurses and Amublance Technicians are prepared to rush to the scene and save a life. With amazing tools and medicines as well as years of training under their belt.  College degrees and a lot of school has prepared you to be the most amazing life saver.  And without them the world would be a very scary place.  They give peace of mind in knowing they will give their all in saving you.   

Police Officers (Cops)



Last but not least are the people who are around you every day,  keeping the entire world from becoming a scene out of the purge movie. Keeping law and order in a vast community of violence and dangers.  They are who you will call to when your being attacked or held up at gun point.  They are there to defuse hostage situations, robberies, domestic violence  and they are there to keep you and your family safe from hazards.   They have the most unfair portrayal by media who want to paint all of them as hateful or unlawful racists.  But many cops have pure hearts and a very tough job keeping our streets clean for the youth.  


3 amazing roles and all of them are so valuable and equal to the world.  And these underpaid and under appreciated people deserve so much more and so many thanks .    But out of these 3 choices.  Which would you wanna be most?   A cop,  a fire man,  or a EMT?   

I think i would choose EMT because it's the safest and i always loved the field of medicine. Although being a fire captain is probably the coolest .

Classic Video Games / Have you ever sold/traded a game that you wish you didn't?

What game that you sold do you wish you had back right now?  Have you ever made a bad decision in regards to parting with a game or games?

For me when i was little i sold so many Xbox 360 games just to get other newer ones instead of just saving up because i was young and dumb.  So i lost so many incredible titles for both PS2 and 360. I even traded a giant PS2 lot once.  And looking back i probably have owned at least 150 xbox 360 games in my life and i own like 7 now.  And Xbox 360 was my favorite console but now i need to rebuild after i nuked my own collection.  I was so careless and i wasn't quite a collector at the time.  I wish i would have kept them because alot of them i want back and now i have to piece them back 1 by 1.

I always noticed that too     Sometimes i would be typing something than i would leave the page to google how it was spelt and than i would have to retype it because the bar disappeared.   It's very minor but i agree it could be better.

My idea for a dream game is Giant Black Sea Slug the video game. .   It is in the works currently and details the enthralling journey of a prideful giant black Sea Slug off the Pacific Coast named Simon as he tries to avenge his farther's death from the evil menacing claws of Karl Krab .  Simon will not stop until he has killed every last king and blue krab along the california coast line.  He wants blood and he will only show the mercy he was showed.  The first game of it's kind to feature a slug as the protagonist and it really flips over the hidden secrets of the every day struggles and tribulations of a slug. Hopefully bethesda will call back soon. . 




But a new idea for a game i have is called  The Trees Know.....      It is a dark cryptic 3rd person horror sci fi thriller where you battle never ending mobs of vicious walking trees that try to consume you as compost fertilizer for their nutrients. They suck your through their roots and become larger and more terrifying.  And they scream and they cry.  Dripping acid from their leaves from the pollution of the evil humans.    The trees have long sat back and waited as you polluted their eco system and now they want to devour you and turn you into their sustainable food supply as they try to rebuild their kind after the humans have hurt them so badly by the year 2028.  Play as protagonist?  Or antagonist  Sir. William Woodchipper  as he kicks the dust of his reciprocating chain saw and cuts himself so oak chunks.  Join dozens of other farmers online or play solo in a very deep and engaging story line as you have to survive hoardes of the un dead trees....  ripping through the gound as they try to consume all in sight.  Chop them limb for limb as you try to assert yourself as the prime specimen.    It's agriculture versus mammal.   The forrest awaits.   What will happen after the massacre has occured?   Find out once every last drop of maple sap drips from your bloodied body.    It's  World War Three?   No...   It's world war tree!!!!         Coming this fall

Charles Manson Adventures      Play as the ultimate cult mastermind charlie himself as he breaks out of prison and tries to pick up where he left off. 

 

Bowser's dad adventures     The untold dark story of child abuse and alcoholism that plagues the ultimate villain from our childhood Bowser's life.  The pain he has felt and the scars he carries and his inability to cope without kidnapping princess peach.  Peach being the woman he longs to turn into a sacred mother for his motherless son bowser Jr.  who's mother died of heroine overdose when he was 5.   Bowser balances all this while being a single dad at a dead end job with no love and while getting stomped into lava by Mario everytime he tries to find someone to call him theirs.   Relived Bowser's childhood and why his father left him.  Where his mother went and why he is a single dad alone in a dark and cold world that abandoned him.

Which Sega Genesis/Super Nintendo staple do you like better .    Both are two of the best movie inspired games of all time and very critically acclaimed and huge staples in the 16 bit era.  Which did you prefer?





I liked Lion King a little bit more because of the beautiful visuals and you get to be Simba .

Off Topic / Poppy the illuminati princess. Pop girl controlled by darkness?

This innocent looking girl is an all powerful beacon of the illuminati machine.  And through her they overlay cryptic messages to brainwash our Youth.   She is the embodiment of the new world order and very scary but also very full of wonder.  In her videos you can find messages from a higher source that can only be heard when playing her audio in reverse or at different tone frequencies.    Many believe she isn't even real.  She is just a physical personification of a pop star who sold her soul.  A ideology.  A thought visualized.  Programmed to keep us mentally numb.

Most of her videos share one common message and it's the message of a pop stars rise to stardom and the different trials and tribulations a pop star faces. Most videos include an extremely deep almost undecipherable voice that tells Poppy what to do. Electronic voices that need pitch changes to be heard that often tell her commands.  A dark deity that kinda masks the whole series.  Her videos typical portray messages of virality and wealth and vivacious youth.  All of which are conveyed in such a profound and distanced manner. With almost no real linear path.   But the pieces of the never ending puzzle of poppy can be pieced together when you look at her crytpic messaging.   Everything from the code used in her videos to the props are all satanistic and illuminati.   Satan appears in her videos.  She is able to avoid satan in the video and she almost seems like she is calling for our help.  A pop star trapped in a invisible box.

Maybe she is just here to distract us.  Maybe she is here to expose the illuminati internally.  Maybe she is our savior.  I feel she is all knowing and through her we can learn so much about their inner workings. 

In her videos it seems like their is a higher power that controls her, she worries about it's acceptance and admits to being allowed or not allowed to do certain things based on it's command.  She reads and says what it tells her to.   

These are the same forces that manipulate our media every day.  This is controlling us.  Even me thinking about this was something they planned but why are they distracting us?   Why is poppy being used to convey these messages?

Hardware and Tech / Does anyone know where i can find 2 Original Xbox DVD drives?

Hello everyone ,   Recently i bought two Xbox Originals from Good Will for 8 dollars each marked as (untested).  Both power on beautifully and seem exceptionally clean and pristine inside.  I have cleaned all the dust out and made them spic and span.  One had some minor rust on the metal grate that i was able to sand down with fine grit sand paper and it became shiny metal again.  Both have working hard drives as well with stored media and music on them.  The only problem is that neither of them will load games.

 I have turned over a new leaf with throwing out non working consoles.  I rather bring them back to life that way their will be two more in circulation for the future generations.  Rather than just wasting 2 good examples.  Because sure Xbox is common now but 50 years from now when disc based technology becomes obsolete and fewer working examples exist.  It gives me happiness knowing with all of us collectors, we almost act like video game archives .    We are able to keep so many copies of different items that they will never be forgotten and our future grand kids will be able to see one or collect them for themselves if they want to because of the ones we repair and make like new again.

I know it's a long shot but i just want to see if anyone knows of a site where i can find DVD drives. I have already tried Ebay and a quick google search.  The one's on ebay are either broken, untested or madly expensive (more than a console itself).  I heard both the Samsung and Toshiba models are interchangable but i heard  the samsung ones are more reliable.   Thank you for any help

Classic Video Games / Why didn't pong carry over into modern era?

Hello Everyone .  I am not sure if anyone knows of a really amazing pong collection or pong game for a post 1990s console. .  It almost seems like their was the huge surge of Pong consoles and pong for Atari and everyone was a pong fanatic in the late 70s and earlyy 80s and then all of a sudden gaming just forgot about pong and left it in the 70s to die.  A lot of the trends from the 70s got revitalized one way or another,  like pinball and things. Most other gaming staples that sell that well always get a second go.  It really confuses me why people forgot about our friend pong. I hope someone can please let me know of a modern pong console so i can back it or buy it .   I know a lot of more complex games came that were way more eye catching and flashy for the youth.  and sure mario was so much more intricate and had more depth but a lot of us still love tetris and all these other simple party play quick fun type games.   A NES release of pong never came,  SNES pong never came.  Then PS1 has a pong but it wasn't promoted well and the youth had already forgotten about the legendary staple of pong.   

I love pong a lot, it's so fun and it has so much potential to be even funner.  It's an 8 bit atari 2600 game that can actually be binged in 2017 by most gamers.   Imagine adding trophies, special metal knob controllers,  tournamnets,  online face offs,  rumble feedback,  power ups,  mini games.  it would be sooo fun and unique .   i think when we discuss gaming staples we should always have pong somewhere.  It made bringing games home cool.   It's so simple yet so fun.   It had so much potential to carry over and become a legend but now it's kinda like the  "Member when we used to play pong"  type game.  We should be playing pong now .       

Why do you feel pong didn't survive the linear progression of gaming.  Do you think pong will ever make it's remarkable return?

Which imaginary video game couple do you ship the most? .

For me Kirby and Jiggly puff is so adorable.  The amount of cuteness contained in one relationship is remarkable.   Plus Kirby is confirmed a boy while Jigglypuff is typically considered a girl.   Both a small puffy pink ball shaped characters.     Imagine Jigglypuff singing the Jigglypuff song to put Kirby to sleep when he is stressed or tired at night.  Or Kirby inhaling Jigglypuff and stealing her abilities all the time.  It would be so insta worthy and relationship goals.

I also think Kratos and Bayonetta would be a pretty amazing power couple.     Less cute and more just sexy and violent like the two franchises typically are.   


What 2 video game characters that arent already dating would you want to see pass eachother notes in class or go out for ice cream at friendly's

My favorite Nintendo product of all time is the Wii U

I love the Wii U so much.  I feel it's the most unfairly treated console of all time and alot of the negative media against it was very misinformative to impressionable consumers.  The vast amount of innovations Wii U brought to gaming will only be replicated in time.  It is truly a beacon of ingenuity.  It's library is so unique and diverse even though its small and it has such a wide array of features that are truly overlooked.  The interactive Amiibo figures,  the ability to play on the TV or on the Controller.  And it's amazing User interface are all being used on the Switch now.   And i really love the line up of timeless gems like Mario Kart 8,  Smash Wii U,  DK Country  Tropical Freeze,  Splatoon.   And so many more .

My Grandma uses Xbox as a blanket term as a name for all video games lol       She always says "You guys playing the Xbox again?"  When me and my cousins are playing Wii or such.   It's really funny.    

But as for the masses calling a console by a blanket term, i don't think it will ever happen again.  But i think i would add Gameboy in your list.  When gameboy came out.  No matter if you had a gameboy color, gameboy pocket, gameboy light,  gameboy sp.    If you had a handheld in your pocket.  Most kids would say "Field trip tommarow,  bring your gameboy.  let's play gameboy."   it was synonymous with portable gaming for a while  .
