If you win a game that is not usable in your region, we will make some sort of arrangement to get you something else if you want.
Gift cards will be made available in your local currency if possible, if not, we will make arrangements to get you something else.

Limited Run doesn’t have a $5 code, but Doug is getting some made up for us. Not sure when these will be done. If anyone who wanted a LRG code doesn’t want to wait and wants something else, let me know.

We’re finally ready! We will be holding the live stream and drawing on Monday, February 22 at 7pm central time. To sign up, all you need to do is post in this thread. Anyone who has an account in good standing with at least 25 posts as of January 10, 2021 is eligible, even staff members! I’m still not going to reveal the prizes because I want it to be a surprise, but there will be a lot. Each person can only win once. We'll start off small and work our way up to the grand prize. I’ll be updating this post with more info as needed.
Update 1: Watching the stream is not required to win. It will be available to watch after, for those not able to watch live.

News / VGC-X: Something big is coming!

Today, January 10 2021, marks the 10th anniversary of vgcollect.com! For those of you who were around for our 5th year, you might remember the contest that we had to celebrate. For our 10th, I wanted to go bigger and better than before, with bigger prizes and more of them. Unfortunately, I ran into problems getting everything here on time, so I’ll need to push it back until I get everything I need to proceed. This time around, instead of a contest, I’ll be holding a live stream drawing with some special guests to help me celebrate. I don’t want to give away too many details, but we’ll have discussions, some big news, and a lot of fun. All vgc forum members who have an account in good standing with at least 25 posts as of this post are eligible, even staff members. The only people not eligible are Matt, Jason, and myself. I’m not going to reveal the prizes that we have lined up, but there is some good stuff in there. I’ll be making a separate thread in a bit for folks to sign up.

I see that the remake is available on the Switch and Limited Run is going to make a physical release. This is a game that I have heard a lot of talk about, but I’ve never played it. Why is it so popular? Why do you like/dislike it?

I'm going to be starting on another batch of these adapters soon. This adapter lets you use a SNES controller, and vastly improves the experience of playing CD-i games. They are $45.00 shipped anywhere in the USA. I should have them ready to go in mid January.

Today is the big day, vgcollect turns 5 years old today, and as I mentioned earlier, we are holding a little contest with some pretty cool prizes to say thanks to everyone who has made vgcollect more successful than any of us imagined it would be.
First, some rules:
One guess per user.
Post your guess in this thread only.
No editing of guess post, edited posts will be disqualified.
Staff and their family members are not eligible to play.
User must have registered account prior to January 20, 2016.
In the event of a tie, there will be a bonus round to settle the tie.
Contest closes at midnight PST on January 27, 2016 (One week from today).
Prizes:
1st place: Any game related thing you want, up to $60.00. Just tell us what you want, we'll buy it and have it shipped to you.
2nd place: A $20.00 GameStop gift card. Or if you'd prefer a different store, we will do what we can.
3rd place: A one year pro subscription to vgcollect.com
The contest:
Whoever guesses the correct number of games (or comes closest) in this picture wins. Pretty straightforward.
First, some rules:
