Plenty of game titles are wrong on GameFAQs, but our common name rule dictates that we follow their formatting. Since I regularly contribute information to Japanese game entries to our database, I find myself submitting entry name edits on their site far more than I would like.

I submitted the change on GameFAQs from Nikki to Diary; however, the edit response turnaround rate is anywhere from a few days to two weeks, as it's a large site and they only have one person running the edit submission queue for some reason.

That’s good to know! I appreciate your effort and, if there’s anything else I can do to help, just let me know.

Therefore, the game's title here on VGCollect should be Jounetsu Nekketsu Athletes: Nakimushi Coach no Diary.
I hope I was able to clarify this issue and, if anyone ever needs help with Japanese language, just let me know.

Common names policy prevents it. You can put that title into alt-name field.

Actually, Jounetsu Nekketsu Athletes: Nakimushi Coach no Diary is the game's ONLY title as indicated by the game's cover, it's title screen and it's home page at Famitsu:
https://www.famitsu.com/search/?type=game-title&q=%E6%83%85%E7%86%B1%E2%98%85%E7%86%B1%E8%A1%80%E3%82%A2%E3%82%B9%E3%83%AA%E3%83%BC%E3%83%84+%E3%80%9C%E6%B3%A3%E3%81%8D%E8%99%AB%E3%82%B3%E3%83%BC%E3%83%81%E3%81%AE%E6%97%A5%E8%A8%98%28%E3%83%80%E3%82%A4%E3%82%A2%E3%83%AA%E3%83%BC%29%E3%80%9C

Jounetsu Nekketsu Athletes: Nakimushi Coach no Nikki is simply wrong and if that's the title GameFAQs is using, it's wrong there as well.

Hi everyone.
I'd really like to know why my edit to this item was rejected.

Even though the standard spelling for this game's title (情熱 熱血 アスリーツ 泣き虫 コーチの日記) is indeed Jounetsu Nekketsu Athletes: Nakimushi Coach no Nikki, the final two ideograms (日記) shall be read as "Diary" (ダイアリー) as indicated on both the game's cover and it's title screen.

Of these stereotypes you listed, I'd definitelly fit under the "The guy who can game without flirting, gatekeeping or saying the N word" category.

I've always considered myself to be somewhat of a hater of Nintendo, therefore my opinion shouldn't be taken too seriously.
That said, my personal list would be as follows:

Home consoles
1 - Super Famicom / Super Nintendo Entertainment System
2 - Family Computer / Nintendo Entertainment System
3 - Nintendo GameCube
4 - Color TV-Game
5 - Nintendo Switch
6 - Nintendo 64
7 - Wii U
8 - Wii

Handheld consoles
1 - Game Boy Advance
2 - Nintendo DS
3 - Nintendo 3DS
4 - Game Boy Color
5 - Game Boy
6 - Game & Watch series
Never played - Virtual Boy

I once saw a Sony HB-F1XDJ MSX2+ in mint condition being sold for less than ¥10,000 (around US$85) and let it pass. When I returned to the shop the next day, it was nowhere to be found and, to this day, I still only own a plain MSX2 (which I love)...
I was able to score a complete Apple Pippin at the same store for ¥7,000 (US$60) a few months after that though.

The company who published "El Chavo Kart" on Xbox 360 and PS3 was selling new, sealed copies on Amazon for $19.99. They were selling them for a while...and when they sold out, the price for the game skyrocketed.

I remember this I told a friend we should order two and then never did. :(

It can still be found for fairly cheap in Brazil though. It was released there under the slightly different Portuguese title "Chaves Kart".

Just finished playing Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth on the PS4.

I've always loved the lore of RoLW and playing a Metroidvania set in that universe was a pretty nice experience.
The game's visuals, some of its animations and even enemies are nothing more than a blatant rip-off of Symphony of the Night, but the gameplay offers some Ikaruga-like features that, at least for me, kept it fresh from beggining to end.

A great bang for the buck!

They are on track to have shipped 22.6 million PS5 consoles by the end of this March.

Apparently, only 12 of those to Japan (where I live) though.

Cool.
Now, unless that piece of crap high tech marvel works WITHOUT a PS5, they better start shipping some consoles so that we can enjoy everything the future has to offer.

General / Re: What percentage are you a collector vs a gamer?
« on: December 30, 2021, 07:11:18 pm »
I'd probably say like 90% (maybe more) collector and 10% (maybe less) gamer.
I say this because whenever I have a free weekend, I usually find more joy in going out to hunt for games than staying home and playing what I already own.
Besides, the whole "gamer" community tends to be a little too toxic for my taste...

Watched these two Netflix originals on the same day:

Don't Look Up: A very good idea with a terrible execution in my opinion. Still recommend it though. Just watch and take your own conclusions.

Asakusa Kid: Tells the story of Japanese comedian/actor/movie director Takeshi Kitano. Delivers well balanced doses of fun and emotion. Pretty good movie.

I've always dreamed about naming my son Duke Nukem and my daughter Baraka, but I don't think my wife would be very happy with those choices...

General / Re: Remasters and Ports - A Good Thing?
« on: October 18, 2021, 06:37:27 am »
Well, most of my PS4 collection is constituted of remakes, remasters and ports, so I'd say YES. They are a very good thing for me.
I still have both my PS2 and PS3 hooked up to a huge CRT and a nice LED TV respectively, but nowadays, due to the overall comfort and ease of use the PS4 offers, I prefer play Crash Bandicoot 3, Shadow of the Colossus or Uncharted 2 on it than on any of those other older consoles...
