My friend showcased his Mega Man and Duck Tales arcade cabinets there.  If you have Instagram look up @rewindbydesign.

So do people do trades on the spot at these expos?  I've never been to one yet.

Always been a fan of SEGA games so getting a DC was a no brainier for me.

I had the same reason as you.  It was by Sega so I had to get it.

My brother buying High Frequency controllers for his PS1.  Those controllers weren't built to last.  They would break after a few months.  So my brother would buy a new one then the next day put the broken one in the package and get a refund.  Then when the controller he just bought failed, he'll do the same thing again.

Most if not all of these are probably worth more than their original price tag.  I'm the original owner of these games, which were purchased between 1988 and 2001.

Off Topic / Re: Has Anyone Ever Used Facebook As A Photo Host?
« on: June 21, 2018, 02:27:34 pm »
From what I remember a few years ago when I still had Facebook, I noticed that the URL for pics on FB would change.  So any pics you linked to a forum would no longer show up.

I was wondering about this very thing while buying Wii Points and doing last minute shopping on the Wii Shop Channel.  At least with the Wii games are tied to the console and not an account.

I bought about 176 games, total spent was about $1,200.  I have 1400 Wii Points left.

I was thinking that the console would be worth over $1,200 but only to me.  To anyone else it would probably just be worth fair market value.

As an afterthought, I would be devastated if my Wii were to stop working or get stolen.

Atari 2600 that I got in 1981.  I still have it boxed up, though I think the last time I turned it on was back in 1997.

I arrange mine by system and then in the order that I acquired them.  Think of it like sorting files in Windows by Date Created or Date Modified.

Hardware and Tech / Re: PS4 Issues

I may move the PS4 out of the entertainment system until I can find time to cut a hole in the back.

I use a USB fan in my entertainment center.  There's a small hole in the back wall of the shelf space for the cords, the USB fan pulls in cool air from that hole and just blows it over the console and through the front.

20" is fine for a bedroom, 27" and up is fine for a living room.

I grew up playing on a 27" console TV and have always used 20" TVs for the bedroom, so that's just my personal preference.

I think 36" TVs would be better but they sure will be a pain to move around.

My 60gb PS3 is used daily since I got it in 2010.  I put a USB powered oscillating fan behind it to push all the hot air out.  It works perfectly.  One time while cleaning the fan I was playing an mp4 movie from a flash drive and the movie would pause amd stutter, it looked like I was playing a badly scratched DVD.  I put the fan back and it worked perfectly.

My account is personal.  I've only posted a few game related pics but I don't have any peers that are into collecting games.  One person I follow suggested I make my own game collecting account but I simply don't have the time to do that.

Anyways, these are the videogame related IG accounts I follow:

Classic Video Games / Re: Shmups on a budget

Browse the Virtual Console on the Wii.  100 points = $1.  So if a Genesis game is 800 points it means it costs $8.

I recommend Dead Moon, Dragon Spirit and R-Type for the TurboGrafx-16.  There's also Gate Of Thunder and Lords Of Thunder for the Turbo CD.  If I remember correctly TG-16 games cost 600 points each.  I'm not sure about the Turbo CD pricing.
