There is always the possibility they are "official" bootlegs. Items that were backdoored from the factory, or manufactured after a factory stopped having the license to produce, or have been sold. There are many examples in manufacturing where something is remade by the original factory after a contract is up, or the plant has been sold, or after hours/"lunchtime" editions created by employees, etc.
those would be cool to have though since they have a story to them:)

if it works it proves that it is indeed an original ps2 game  and since info about these versions is so scarce they might be something realy special.

if they are fake its nothing special or anything  but if they are original they might be something relay rare and amazing

and pirate copies on the ps2 dont work on an unmodded ps2  thats the thing:)

home made pirates do indeed not work on original consoles unmodded however if it is semi proffesional, wich were sold in the past it will work on original ps2 consoles unmodded or not.

also if you would like my opinion, I'm pretty sure these are fake unless the discs are the same as the legit copies. also if it is semi proffesional it can have some things wich cannot be done on home made pirates since they had the right tools and a factory to produce these, you cannot compare it to home made pirates.

There are no different versions except for promo's + the occasional demo disc and if were talking about value disc only ain't that great plus magna carta can be bought in europe wich isn;t to expensive to be fair.

also I'm not trying to get your hopes down but the chances are pretty high for it being fake and to top it off the reward ain't to great. you could just play these games on an emulator or just on these pirates if it's just for the gameplay.
they might be fake I think they are but I want to know for sure the covers etc are weird so thay have to come from somewhere.

also I dont do emulation I am against that.

I never heard of pirate copies working on an ps2 but I gues its possible

I still want to use my ntsc ps2 anyhow for the many us exclusives games so the power problem needs to be solved anyway

wel the switch is not only a commercial failure due to nintendo mistakes there is more to it while the vita failure is 100% sony's own fault.

due to those expensive memorycards
lack of  first party support and that was an issue when it wasnt even out yet.

also many people didnt like the hardware the wiiu was (myself included)

so the switch has just more reasons to bash the name the tablet the wii motes etc

also the vita has very little shovelware most games arent games that deserve 9 or something but verry little games that you can considder bad as well.

they are at least ok or meh games.

I think solely because it does have games.  Wii U did not have a big library at all.  It was also generally popular in Japan, hence all the game support it got, but over here, it didn't do particularly well...The Vita has something around 1400 games on it going by wikipedia.  Wii U had 700 and the Vita is still getting games.  The Vita is this weird system that didn't do well, but had such fan support, despite Sony eventually ignoring the handheld.  The Vita is supposed to be the best for JRPG's and such from what I understand, which is probably why it did as well it did over here.

While it does have more games and a larger library, i feel the Wii U's library is way more diverse.  Vita seems to be 70-80 percent JRPG.  Which is awesome but some people like party games, action adventure, racing and such.  And vita is very limited in those :).   I think Wii U has a more rounded and more iconic library of games. But in fairness i havent dove too deep into the Vita's library so i might just be biased.  :D.
those numbers are way off I Might be the biggest vita collector in my country  (not saying I am but I actualy might) and your numbers are way of at least with english releases  I would say about 50% is jrpg and that is an high estimate mind you.  and the vita actualy has quite a lot of racing games more then the wiiu at least

wrc 3 4 and 5 need for speed sonic all star racing ben 10 galactic racing and I know I forget a few.

the vita has some cool fighting games too and even games like civilisation and some awesome mosou games.

My goal is to have an copy of every physical released game thats playable in english  and with the games that are on the way I should be around 80% of that goal.

also its not fair to compare libaries yet since the vita still gets games every month and the wiiu is just dead.

the vita libary has all kinds of games and yeah japanese rpg is the biggest genre but far from the only one

and yes the vita is a commercial failure mostly due to sony being relay stupid about it but the vita is an amazing system

and for the people who dont believe me I am big in on vita this should prove it:)

and yes this was my collection 2 weeks agoo or so:P

Just buy a Dutch PS2, they are cheap.

And we have a different volt output here (220 volt).
I have a dutch one already I also have an us one on top of that and the US ps2 says 120 volt.

I relay need to get my us one working though I have 2 ps2 games that I thought for years where fake but some new things I found out makes it seem like they might be real after all.

and the only 100% sure way to test if they are real or not is an us ps2.

now I'm curious

wich american ps2 games are we talking about.
the 2 I own arent on this picture but this is the only thing I found on the internet about them

http://playstationcollecting.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=75&threadid=156313

and these are the 2 I have

http://imgur.com/lZBFBXg

they dont have manuels and I thought for years they where copies however in the middle cicrle before you get the dis arc lets say there is written that it are ps2 discs

as far as I know general people cant  make that so they might be real but the only way to be 100% sure is testing them in an us ps2

I have to rant here FUCK YOU nintendo

I understand the focus is on switch

but the whole direct and not even a mention of the 3ds

realy pissed about that

also am I the only one who is disapointed by this e3?

ubisoft and sony where ok but not amazing

last year sony was so good

71
never achieved it currently aiming for the complete EXTENDED vita set

I have a few good reasons to pick vita

verry little shovelware
not too many games so doible

and its a sort of a goodbye to me to gaming because as it stands now after the vita dies I have to quit gaming at least new games.

no interest in the ps4

I rather shoot myself then get an x-box one and the switch in my book is just as bad as the wiiu and wii.

and why I hate them because of the controlls and the tablet controller.

but things like dlc download only games and payed online ruin it for me.

so unless the 3ds gets a succesor with free online I wont buy new systems or games anymore.

sure I cna still do retro games when I compelte my vita ste but the way prices for retro games are going now thats probatly not gonna happen either.
