Thanks for the heads up, I added your website to my favorites list

When a game just freezes or stalls in the middle of play. Happens a lot on retro consoles. The worst is when it happens in games you can't save lol
poorly thought out movement controls. I was playing a game recently where you entered a tank and had to track it around but the controls were both joysticks forward for forward, both reverse for reverse, and one forward and one reverse to turn. the control for that tank was so poorly designed that a section that should have taken 5 minutes took an entire hour to beat.
Forced stealth in non-stealth games. I HATE stealth in video games with a passion and being forced to sneak around in a game just kills the pacing for me, and therefore my enjoyment of the game.
Doom, Duke Nukem II, System Shock 2, Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, Shadow Warrior, and the Apogee boxed PC games are ones I want the most.
Also, lol greatest hits editions
Whats wrong with greatest hits? I never understood why people scoff at greatest hits/platinum hits/players choice/nintendo select versions... Like I understand wanting to collect the originals, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with these other versions... they are the same exact game. For me its a chance to grab a great game at a potentially lower price. So I guess keep laughing at them so I can keep buying cheaper games!
I never have cared for the Intellivision or its Godawful controllers. TBH the Colecovision ones weren't much better but that joystick made a world of difference and growing up I pined like crazy for a Colecovision and never gave the Intellivision a second thought.
Years ago I found a Colecovision on the cheap at the flea market and snapped it up but for the life of me I have NO idea what happened to the system (I think my little brother stole/sold it).
I picked up one of the Colecovision Flashback systems on clearance but I've never gotten around to hooking it up.
I thought colecovision controllers felt pretty good.
They belong in the trash.Okay I'll send a dumptruck your way
Someone points out that Wikipedia is absolutely wrong and shouldn't be used as a source on the subject since they have all post-Pong and pre-NES consoles lumped together in one generation, when that is actually two-distinct generations. Then he listed them as such, and it made perfect sense:
2nd Generation
Channel F Fairchild
RCA Studio II
Atari 2600
Bally Arcade
APF MP1000
Odyssey 2
3rd Generation
Intellivision
Arcadia 2001
Colecovision
Vectrex
Atari 5200
Yet everyone uses Wikipedia as the be all end all in this discussion.
What are you thoughts about this?
I got my first real six-string
Played it 'til my fingers bled
Was the summer of sixty-nine
