General / Re: Why do you play video games?
« on: June 27, 2018, 03:27:26 am »

I use to play for escapism during my teenage years because at that time I hated the world, heh.

I also hated life and the world both as a teenager, as I got older I more used to it. But still today I sleep my life away, I have manic depression and a few other problems that I receive benefits for currently

I have read Call Of Duty manuals sometimes there is some vary interesting information found in video game manuals including tips on how to play the game like somebody else said on here :)

2255
There are 5 games. I take 1. Now how many do I have?

That's an easy one you'll have 73 games afterwards

@oldgamerz

Don't forget that all them games have to make one feel warm and fuzzy inside!

That's quite a hard achievement, such wisdom on Seether's part is pretty tough to beat.

yea I have over way more games then I know what to do with. Way more probably than Seether has plus none of those 5 games interest me. But who cares there is no competition where all good here. :)

Lets all give a round of applause tooooo ;D Seether. The best kick ass collector in the world! Seether has 5 of the best games ever forged! And he can show anyone who collects video games whos the boss.

If your a guy I'll bet all the women sigh at the thought of your holy name. Seether, the gaming God of the video game Universe ;D

Seether, and don't you forget it

I thought you only could find sports titles man :D

I have a few but I like the game better

2258
For me yes, I used to play the same games over and over but I am slowly trying to get into more games. all the turn based RPG's I had played except for Pokemon games on the Gameboy are boring to me, and I really don't like strategy turned based RPG's because I lose all my characters on the first battle

Sometimes I like to use my imagination on one of my most favorite video games. like Duke Nukem 3D or any Duke Nukem game I usually enjoy the storyline. But I usually don't read the Atari 2600 games stories much. I think I going to start more often reading all the game stories

Why is this even a thread?
So that’s a no then?
Since you glossed over my question, I'll ask again: What's the point of this thread?

He or She is probably trying to get a rise out of certain members before he or she gets a possible ban. I have no control. I think the OP is trying to piss certain people off lately. Some people like to rouse up a community.

But as some would say, if you don't like a thread you don't even have to respond to it or even click on it

2261
I don't get this thread either are those suppose to be rare games? I'd say Seether if you do own them I hope you enjoy them. In my opinion bragging is only fun for a short time then the fun wears out sometimes when you actually play the game and try to beat the game.

Is your next thread going to be a sales thread? where you sell those games? I got a ton of games but I also don't have a PAL console, so I won't be buying those games from you sorry. ::)

The only game that I own close to any of the ones listed is Dragon Ball Z Budokai. (I don't think it counts) and I didn't put it into my digital collection yet.

Medal of Honor Frontline on Hard mode. That difficulty setting will make you tear your hair out. It was grueling to beat

Telly?

Did you beat the PlayStation 2 version on hard mode?
How did you even make it past that one level where the bad guys snipe rockets at you from the summit?  in the center of the level. I mean on my copy of "Medal Of Honor Frontline" for PS2

even on easy

there is a summit like in the center of one level that is nearly impossible to kill the rocket shooting snipers who shoot and hit you from an off screen position, in fact if you don't get to the top of the hill and kill them they keep on hitting you anywhere on that level including hitting you from off screen and completely off your view range.

I climbed the summit but keep taking too much damage trying to get those guys in my view range in order to hit them. They either lay down and hit you with rockets or crouch. and even when I fired at them I still could never kill those guys and have enough health to complete the mission.

It was some kind of depo mission with explosives that go off in the beginning of the level.

can you remember?

I do remember that level, after the train car ride right? I think I would go down the cliff to the bunker on the left side and try to pick people off from there and work my way over. I remember it was still tough because of those rocket launching guys on top of those towers after you get on the other side of the cliff.

The hardest level for me was when you had to invade that house since the silenced pistol they give you was a total piece of junk

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=52UnwwsGj3Q

I did play it on PS2

Thanks for the tips Telly :) Yea that mission you remembered correctly

Yea I managed to make it past the house with all the clocks (on easy) and the rest of the game. But when the game came to the depo, with the snipers with rockets shooting me from off the playview  I just quit because.

I thought the game was being vary cheap, blurring the screen in all so I could not see or hit the snipers who kept hitting me from the mountain from a distance, off viewpoint

This is a genre I am really into, Multiplayer is better played with both other people but it gets even better in my opinion if you can add bots into the game, just in case you have none to play with. or use the bots as an obstacle  of competition between you and your friend or to gang up on the bots in coop

first off do you like arena based shooters and some fighters  here I can name a few for those looking for something a little different.

(First Person Shooters with arena single player option
1: Red Faction PS2
2: Red Faction 2 PS2
3: Unreal Tournament PS2
4: Quake 3 arena PS2 (don't have it currently)
5: Duke Nukem 64  N64
6: Turok Rage Wars N64
7: Perfect Dark N64

optional 4 player fighting arena games

1: Xena Warrior Princess: Talisman of Fate N64
2" War Gods N64

I've noticed that a lot of these threads are based off what I've said in earlier threads.

Being on topic and to repeat myself. Yea if your can find a game physical for $5 - $10 or less you've   got a great game dealer. I have even seen A Super Nintendo game called "Battleship" for $4.

And no it was actually not based off the board game. according to what I've heard it is a shooting game where you fire and sink submarines and battleships

I don't like to spend anymore that $15 on a single game because. but if I really want it I'll pay $30

Can you think of anything thread idea that don't have to do with money. Agent Fox

At least he or she is keeping the conversation going guys and ladies ::)
