General / Let's Talk About The 7th Generation Of Gaming Consoles
« on: February 02, 2018, 03:35:32 pm »
@Marvelvscapcom2 made a topic last year about this time about your favorite console of each generation, but to make this topic different I decided to make a (lets Talk) about the 7th generation in which not many people talk about, what is your likes or dislikes about this generation 7 of console gaming. Some call it the last Gen.

The 7th generation mainstream consoles include the

Xbox 360, the Nintendo Wii, and the PlayStation 3

I prefer the SONY PlayStation 3 when it comes to the Last Generation or 7th of console gaming. Coming in second I like the Xbox 360, I have my own Wii also but I never played it as of yet.

I only prefer the Wii when it comes to Wii sports. I had a ton of fun at family get together's playing the Wii in all of it's motion control glory. When it comes to multiplayer motion control games in your own living room the Wii is king. When It comes to casual gaming with yourself or others the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 was good also.

share your 7th generation console gaming stories here. or, this is also the place for anyone opinion or likes and dislikes about any or all consoles within this 7th generation of consoles :)

Hardware and Tech / Re: Anyone using wireless headphones with their Switch?
« on: February 01, 2018, 06:50:38 am »
hmm, this is unfortunate, usually Logitech are a good brand, did you try to do research on that model headset or read some reviews left by people who purchased it. according to my research the reviews of

Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930 with 7.1 Surround Sound, Wireless Headphones with Microphone

are vary poor on amazon.com here is those vary awfull reviews and boy it recieved 3 stars out of over 8700 reviews here they are.

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Surround-Headphones-Microphone/dp/B003VANOFY#customerReviews

My suggestion would be to buy a different model or even brand (if this is your model) most people thought it was trash. here are some amazon suggestions around the same price too. If I were you I'd pick up one with a higher star rating and that has a high number of reviews.

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=+wirelesss+gaming+headset&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3A+wirelesss+gaming+headset

sorry for the late responce I'm pretty sure you bought a better one by today

Real life most times is more gory then almost all video games, and when the gore is real it can be most disturbing

I feel sorry for the veterans of real warfare. seeing first hand their friends and squad mates get burned, and shot and even have their heads blown off in real life.

I don't watch gory things on the internet, but I know google is like a genie and pretty much anything you type in you get what you ask for. Whether disturbing or not, depends on the person watching.

sometimes the real world is a lot worse then watching fantasy, in fact most violence in general is based off actual happenings including movies

I feel your pain, Keep fighting to reclaim your games, don't give up, you should be able to further sue that company but you may have to hire a lawyer, Some lawyers don't charge you if you lose the case, but either way you might need one.

It would help if you show the judge a photo or video of yourself with your collection. before it was stolen then you would have some proof. I hate thieves so much I would never even think about stealing from anyone. you may need some photo proof to get your case won make sure they are legit photos

Anyway personally I hope who ever took your game collection gets betrayed and get their stuff stolen in the near future or worse. I am a strange Christian person who believes that even if someone robs me of all my things I will somehow get them. all back in full   even if I am dead.

I am of course some people call a fruitcake believer in God. in where when bad things happen things in life can get better and do.

I once had a roofing company steal some CD's stolen from an attic of my own apartment. later on the land lords came with a box to my door with a vast majority of what was taken.  the roofers apparently forgot that the land lords caught them on camera removing the box from the apartment complex.

I could tell you just have faith.
by the way please edit your review you said boxers instead of boxes. sorry I make typos all the time myself when writing

Its a good series but the levels with the Flood bring the game from a 9-10 to a 7

warning spoiler for halo 1 combat evolved

lol you said flood levels and I expected a massive First Person under water swimming section bad controls and the constant drowning of Master Chief, causing me to rage quit.  I think I'm on the last mission in fact I made it past all the hordes of enemies in the Plague or what the story calls the flood.  level where you follow a drone through basically I call big endurance round with wave after wave of enemies and I am taking a break from all that mayhem making another reply. Anyway by looking up Halo Flood Levels and the experience playing the first flood level I don't see any water deep enough to drown Master Chief in the entire game in which is a good thing

I am about that level where it I am surprised the whole alien race was not killed off. I am at the point in halo 1 combat evolved that I believe is the last unlock able mission. Where you are on a mission to destroy the ring. There are still lots of enemies in fact wave after wave but, and I can see why so many FPS fans love Halo :)

Olgamerz Reply I never heard of any of those groups, are those grunge or death core bands?

Modern Video Games / Re: Is buying used games morally wrong?
« on: January 24, 2018, 07:24:22 pm »
I can agree that everything bought used takes away from the creators and patent holders. and we don't really need retro consoles for retro video games. Most sales everything from CD's Movies and Games used take away from actual new sales and give the money to a different business or individual. and ROM'S are even more sneaky especially if the ROM's contain custom modifications to the original developers game.

I used to download ROM's on my old PC so I know about ROM's. And I will admit used consoles and most used games  is usually a lot cheaper then new. but sometimes in the modern world E shop and PlayStation network has the games  cheaper then used. It's simple I am on a budget so

I buy used video games but again SONY and E shop have the most expensive used games. I assume for less money then most sell them for. The popular used video games. Mario Kart 64 example or any Mario game as an example

well if lets say Nintendo wants to make money on something old than they should still sell that older console and stop abandoning all their older consoles. IF any game company wants to make all the money they can get they should continue to make the older consoles. bottom line is re-releases are not enough especially now they only sell digitally mostly.

SONY if your reading this bring back the sales of PlayStation 3's after all you do sell CD's and all the Playstation 3's can connect to stereos AND hold an entire CD collection >:(

I know how you feel MVSC II I have the same thought but if they want to make more money then they should still manufacture older systems as long as they know retro consoles and games sell they should know better then

I agree the enemies do drop ammunition but in the stage now they don't but I'll admit I need to watch what I say

Ammo is sparse? Are we playing the same game? Every single enemy you kill has ammo on them.
I take that back come to think about it
The ammo in Halo 3 ODST version the enemies are a lot tougher and ammo is vary hard to find, but HALO 3 ODST is not the same as Halo 3. SO far I only played HALO 1 and Halo 3 ODST. I remember the Halo 3 ODST the enemies take hundreds of lasers guns and ammo to defeat and their are lots of those kinds of enemies :'(

Ammo in that game has you scouring for ammo continuously

General / The Best And The Worst Of Video Game Boss Fights
« on: January 24, 2018, 03:17:55 pm »
Some games require a strategy other then to shoot the boss in order to defeat them, some video game boss fights are one hit kills and then game over. So which games had the best and worst of the boss character. Personally I have no favorite boss that I never was able to figure out how to beat them and move on in the game, or end the game. So name some of the best and worst boss fights of all time.

I usally like the bosses you shoot at, but in duke nukem 64 the second boss fight takes place in a small room and with no big guns in order to defeat him. If I had more rockets I would not mind this boss fight as much. but shooting this boss requires depletion of all ammo and still no way to defeat him in which turned me off of that N64 game

The series is average at best and in my opinion not worth all the hype it gets when there are much better games in the fps genre.

I've noticed the levels and section are mostly copied and pasted to make Halo 1 Combat Evolved longer, the level design is kinda bad in my opinion and I have not finished the game yet. I also discovered a bug sometime in my game play that involved a one hit death and the health bar had full shields and health. I can't enough agree the levels could have been more detailed instead of each room with the same textures everything is blue in mid way through the game. I have not made it to the flood levels yet. Or a boss fight that I can imagine is probably cheap

utter garbage

Ammo is sparse in which what I don't like about what seems to be the entire halo franchise. (edit) only Halo 3 ODST

General / Your Opinions of the Xbox Halo Series
« on: January 23, 2018, 05:14:27 am »
I was going to save this discussion after I complete Halo: Combat Evolved but could't wait to finish the game before making a thread about the series in general. I never actually played a halo game through it's single player campaign as of this post, but I am sorta enjoying the first game now that I am actually playing. It is a nice change from Playing Call Of Duty and other First Person Shooters I already played through. I own an Xbox 360 slim. And so far I really enjoy my play through of Halo 1 Combat evolved. I plan to buy Halo 2 in the near future.

If I do get Halo 2 then I would already own a vast majority of the series. I got all the other ones minus the Xbox One Halos so far.

The Halo Series is only a PC and Xbox console title but most of you already know this

Please remind me if this is another terrible topic, and no I am not going to care how much you do spend on a video game. please delete this thread if it catches flies. I am not the person who even thinks to track a persons wealth I am not a robber and I don't think anyone will rob anyone. Sorry for the 2 worst threads in the general section.
I am not a fly who asks for money I never will ask for any money I am not trying to be a troll I am not selling anything or looking for someone to pick on

ignore this thread or lock it if you think it is offensive. Please forgive the first post. I may be asking too personal of a question like last time

Your posts aren't out of line or offensive nor terrible :).   I never thought you were trying to ask for money or pick on people.  It was just a question about what people spend on games.  I thought it was a good thread topic.  :D

thank you @Marvelscapcom2  I like and read your posts as well too :)
