Video Game Database Discussion / Re: Duplicate Listings 2015
« on: August 29, 2015, 06:56:41 pm »
I sent him a PM asking about this. If it turns out he made a mistake I'll just merge the listings. Thanks for creating a new entry for the proper item!

Here's the funny thing: The multiplayer portion of the game (which is apparently okay) is hitting PCs. The story's staying on the Wii U.

Thanks for all the reports, but please make sure that these listings are actually duplicates, we don't want to end up deleting valid listings by mistake.

What the hell USPS? I ordered a package off amazon. Ordered it Monday, and the guy shipped it a day later... It is now Sat and still not here....

Did I mention its only 17 miles north of me, the original shipped area? It has been 2 other nearby Facility near the original city... all they gotta do is send it south! Come on guys!

Shit, my Dreamcast came from Northern California and beat it here, and both were sent the same day.

Tried calling them to complain? Unless the guy sent it Media Mail, which would make this delay about right.

I'm not sure about the timing, but for some reason, DP is also up on Humble Bundle for Pay-what-you-want ($1 minimum for steam keys):

Too bad the PC port is abysmal.

Maybe, but at least it runs at a respectable framerate on most machines, and isn't stuck on a console.

Fallout -
Fallout 2 -
Fallout Tactics -

But wait, you say. Aren't those already in the database? Well, yeah, but they were originally sold by Interplay and are not available for sale anymore; they had "Classic" added to their names to separate them from the Bethesda re-releases.

I added new listings for these versions because they're missing pretty much all the extras from the original releases, including Mac builds and soundtracks. Because Bethesda.

Well I think some of you might find this helpful. We all probably have had this happen to us at some time or another.

The gaming items that may be high end but its also a big "does it work okay". Here are my experiences post yours is you like.
  • A phillips cdi is extremely high risk its a fair bet that more than half of all used ones will have issues.
  • A turbographix express no matter what condition someone ses its in may very well need new capacitors which are like 70$.
  • Gamecube discs have the highest "breakage" rate of any discs due to their size.
  • A mark the same size that may have no effect on a ps2 may make a gmcb game unplayable.
  • Its a pretty much a good idea to test all sony and microsoft consoles.
  • Literally in general half of the psp 1001's have disc reading issues lesser in the 2001 and even less in the 3000 series.
  • Ps2 ps1 consoles most will play games but almost half will have issues playing dvd movies or blue coated ps2 discs.
  • The most problem plagued nintendo console is actually the snes while I find the breakage issue to be less than old ps2's. Generally its worth a second look if its an older model one (the one where theres a plastic tab that holds the game in.

You can use a PS4 power cable - that's what we used on ours when we found one at a shop.

... I'm probably the only person that steals reuses cables from old portable tape player / radios to use on Dreamcasts. :p

And VCRs. :D

I really like Arizona tea, but they taste funny. I'm not sure they use real sugar.

And you guys didn't get to try Arizona Soda Shaq... I did. It wasn't very good.

My Bruno collection continues to grow.

$3. The thing is damn near mint.
