General / Re: Best Video Game Rental Memories
« on: June 19, 2023, 10:30:46 am »
Never rented a game until Redbox was offering them. The rental store that was in my hometown closed long before I had got my first game system. Others were just I guess too far away.

Only real memory I have renting a game at redbox is that I rented Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 before it snowed and the next day after it stopped snowing I was Shoveling out the driveway just so I could go return it.

Well... been too busy playing it to write anything about it.

I've just been having a blast playing it. The Hyrule's bigger, and it's neat seeing what similar and all the changes that have happened during the time gap between BotW and TotK

I love finding amusement in the little thing new features bring. Like how you can Fuse a Mine Cart to a shield and shield Surfing makes you Hyrule's Pro Skater and actually grind Rails.

Only complaint is I don’t like X being Jump. I just wish Run(B) and Jump(X) were reversed. Yeah I can swap them in system settings, but it doesn't change the button prompts on screen  so there were quite a few times I went to open the glider, hit the button shown on the screen and fell to my death.

Activision bought King games (Candy Crush Saga) back in 2016 for 5.9 billion...

So maybe 1 billion for Rovio isn't bad, but it looks like they really only have Angry Birds as far as IP's go.

Kashell have you ever tried to purchase a gun before?

Have you ever looked into what you need for a permit?

Hell have you ever gone out and shot one before?

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent- It's entertaining. Laugh out loud quite a few times especially the LSD scene. Just a good solid famous actor is in over there head movies... Which I feel I've seen a few movies with that kind of style before but the only other one I can think of is My Name is Bruce. Overall it's a recommendation to at least see once especially if you're a Nick Cage fan

General / Re: Yellowing screens of moderns handhelds?
« on: March 28, 2023, 10:28:52 pm »
Sunlight is my first thought for that

plastics are known to yellow over time though I mainly know this happens to epoxy resin

It might also be plausible the backlights are starting to go though I would expect them to dim more then yellow outside of say some form of blue light filter. Which I don't believe any system has.

Maybe broaden your search for answers to more then just handheld. I'd imagine it could also be a problem with phones, tablets, computer screens, etc.
