XB1 didn't become Backwards Compatible until 2017, so that wouldn't be the reason for those dates. It didn't even come out until the end of 2013.

According to this article, it became available November 12, 2015.

OK, still not 2012/2013.

I was mistaken. 360 games went BC in 2015, OG Xbox games were 2017.

Too many to count. I'm honestly extremely grateful that most of my collection was purchased pre-2020, some of the stuff I own would be impossible for me to purchase now.

I'm right there with you on being thankful I got into collecting when I did. I'd even go as far as to say I'm glad I had the bulk of what I wanted pre-2015 or so when this hobby exploded. Little did we know how bad it would really become in recent years, even back then. But I started out when few other people were collecting and those are the years I look back on most fondly and remember enjoying doing this the most. Outside a few instances here and there, collecting has been pretty shitty and unfun for the past 5 or 6 years, especially the last 2 or 3. That's why I've started to focus way more on playing games rather than buying them.
Yeah, prices were still somewhat outrageous in the late 2010s, but nowhere near the level they are now. I got 85% of what I have now pre-2019 I'd say. I bought my first home in 2020 and since then, the entertainment budget is much slimmer and I try to spend less than 150 dollars a month on games / movies (though I sometimes deviate). I have bought a ton of blu-rays though, dirt cheap at places like 2nd & Charles.

I finished my Xbox 360 collection before the pandemic hit and prices shot up (luckily) seeing some prices now is like...whoa. I'm still looking for several PS3 games, that, if I don't get....no biggie...but a few on my psudo- want list are beyond what I would pay right now.

Congrats on your 1st home. I bought a new home 16 months ago and the house payments will be eating up my finances for the next 3 years. So, I totally feel ya there!

Epic, Origin, Ubisoft Connect.

I used to buy lots of "limited" print games. I remember ordering Retro City Rampage on the Ps4 before I even got the system since only 2000 copies were being produced. What a bunch of BS that turned out to be as that game has had reprints on many consoles at this point. I haven't bought from Limited Run Games since my preorder of Castlevania Requiem, which you can also now buy on Best Buy's site apparently. I like to think these companies started out with good intentions, but were blinded by the $$$. It's happened before.

Yes, Castlevania Requiem is available for preprder on Best Buys site.

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/castlevania-requiem-playstation-4/6514349.p?skuId=6514349

Still published by LRG. I've never ordered from LRG before, is it more expensive directly from them?

I feel most people are missing the fact that these are LRG games. Best Buy sells them, the preorders mentioned by the OP are literally LRG games, not some other company now releasing them.

There certainly may be examples of this happening, but I have yet to see it.

My bank account got hacked.  >:(

They bought over $700 in Door Dash booze deliveries. Been on hold with the card company for a while, still am.

Damn, that sucks. Of course if they ordered deliveries...they should have an address....

Welcome, Love me some PS3!!

Its one I'm currently collecting for. Trying to hunt down the "big ones" now like the Spider-Man PS3 games and 3D Dot Game Heroes. I started for it back in 2015 and for awhile it was easy to find games for it really cheap at flea markets etc. Now its gotten a lot harder due to the PS3 store nearly being shut down last year. lol

I remember seeing at least 6 copies of 3D Dot Heroes at my local Best Buy when they used to sell used games. They were like 5-8 bucks and never sold. Kinda kicking myself. I took for granted how easy it was to find PS3/360 games before Covid. Prices shot up when people had free time and wanted to relive memories. Luckily, I had *most* of what I wanted before that...but a few mistakes were made!

Hi , my names SUPERECWFAN1 ....(big time wrestling fan of a certain company in 1990s)

I really love this site and more. Its nice to see it and forums. I'm a big Playstation 3 fan (I am adding games to my personal collection deal as i go today. Gonna take a long while LOL) . Anyhow the PS3 really got me back into playing games and the games like Batman : Arkham City is a big reason I play video games today.

Its one of my favorite things to do on off days. Right now I'm rocking through Tales of Arise on PS5. I'm a big RPG fan and have played a great number. My favorites with that is Arise , Trails of Cold Steel , Final Fantasy's at times , Persona series.

Welcome, Love me some PS3!!

do you remember at least part of your passwod you cna at leats see how long it is  so if you remember part of it you might be able to figure it out still

Nah, my passwords are usually pretty random. I may use a phrase or something, but it's whatever words pop in my head at the moment...I don't use the same phrases in multiple passwords. So, lol, honestly there is no way I'll remember it. My best hope is that I wrote it down, which is likely...just gotta find it. (I changed it back in Feb) or just wait out Sony's inability to let me change my password.

cant  you use your ps4 then to find your password back so you cna use it on your other account on the vita?  at leats that would solve your issue

Unfortunately, no. You can't "see" your password, and the only option it gives me is to send an email to reset...which doesn't work. Trust me, I've tried all that.
Oops, messed up the quotes.
just wondering is the email correct for your account? maybe its an old mail you cnat acces anymore

The Email is correct, 100%.

not realy just vita and ps3 though even those are different ps3 you actualy CAN use without an psn account unlike the vita

with ps4 and ps5 I am pretty sure you need to login the same way though I am not 100% on that since I dont own  either of those systems

I don't have a PS5, but with PS4 you didn't have to do any of that. That's why Sony's website only mentions the two older systems, not the newer ones. it was a feature designed to enhance security on the older, outdated systems. It was only PS3 and vita, but you are right, you can play PS3 w/o an account.
My 2nd account can log into PS4 no problem, because you didn't have to go through these hoops.

pretty sure its more then once my friend said so and he should know he is both the number 1 and 2 trophy hunter of my country both his accounts are top 50 of  the world. he doesnt do physicla for ps4 and 5 so he needs to log a lot due to regions

Well, I only had to do it once. I can't speak for anyone else. This has nothing to do with PS4/5 though, It's a PS3/Vita only situation.

I just dotn wanna deal with it every time  its not a once and done thing. so even if there is a woraround like you are saying its gonna be an  real pain in the ass  and ruins the fun for me.

You only have to do it once. I just clicked save password. You can even change it back to your old password (I think that's what I did) if you set it to auto login you will just go back to login into your vita every time you turn it on.
