General / A Year in Review - 2017
« on: December 01, 2017, 08:45:27 am »
It's that time again. 2017 is starting to wind down. I thought it would be fun to, once again, have everyone reflect on their gaming journeys throughout the year. I'll make some categories. You fill them in. This has always been fun for me to read. Hopefully, it's just as fun for the rest of you.

Categories:

Favorite 2017 Release: What's your favorite game that you played this year that was released in 2017?

Least Favorite 2017 Release: On the opposite end, what's your least favorite game released in 2017?

Favorite Game Played in 2017: All of us enjoy games from yesteryear. What game this year earns your spot for best game ever? It could be released in 2017 if you like.

Least Favorite Game Played in 2017: What's your least favorite game that you played this year?

Sleeper Hit of 2017: What's your personal sleeper hit for 2017?

Favorite Gaming Moment in 2017: What moment in a game you played this sticks in your head the strongest? Was it something awesome? Something tragic? Something completely over the top? Keep spoilers to a minimum or mark them if you can.

Proudest Collection Accomplishment of 2017: Share a story about a cool find from this year!

I'll give my responses in another post.

I'm not feeling this game, but I saw that a bunch of people had it on their wish lists. I figure someone on here would appreciate it more than some random game store as part of a trade-in.

It's complete and works like a charm. Just send me a PM if interested.

Hello again! It's that time again to prune some stuff that no longer feels right and to help make some space for the things that do. I have a lot of little pieces and parts that I'm attempting to part (the puns) with in order to jumpstart my new collection goal.

There's a picture below with everything. For those that do buy a bunch of stuff, expect to get other things thrown in because of <3 As always, let me know if you want additional details. All games have been tested and are working perfectly.

Happy New Year, y'all! I decided to do a bit more pruning. This time, it's for some imports that I decided I would never get around to fully finishing. I played all of them for a bit, so I know that they're working. However, some of them are way too advanced and text heavy. I'll try to give a description of the difficulty with the language with each game. See the picture below.

Atelier Lilie (PS2): This is the prequel to Atelier Marie and Atelier Elie, despite it being the third entry in the Atelier series. There isn't a translation guide available anywhere, and the game has TONS of text. You really have to be comfortable with the language in order to proceed. Note that PS2 games are not region free so be sure you have the ability to play it.

Atelier Judie (PSP): This is a fun game in the series because it doesn't have a time limit. That said, it's still full of text and will require a lot of understanding to fully play. PSP games are not region free, so you can enjoy this no matter what. There aren't any guides available as far as I know.

Tales of Phantasia FVE (PSP): This is the Full-Voiced Edition of Tales of Phantasia. If you played the PS version of this, then you'll be basically playing the same thing. There isn't a translation patch available, but there are tons of guides out there. I finished this game twice years ago.

Moonlight Syndrome (PS): This is a non-canonical side story to Twilight Syndrome. According to wiki, the events from The Silver Case take place after this game. I searched for a translation guide but couldn't find one. Make sure you can play this game on your console since PS games aren't region free.

Star Gladiator (PS): As you can see in the picture, the front cover of the game is missing. When I bought the game, the front part of the case was cracked and beyond repair so I removed it. Star Gladiator is a fighting game, so you won't have to worry about the language barrier. Just make sure your console can play it.

I'm open to selling and trading. Just drop me a PM! Here's a link to my feedback page:

General / A Year in Review - 2016
« on: December 01, 2016, 08:12:37 am »
2016 has flown by. I can't believe that we're a few weeks away from the new year. That said, I thought it would be fun for everyone to reflect on their gaming journeys during 2016. I made a similar topic last year and I really enjoyed reading everyone's responses. So, let's do it again for this year! Here are the categories:

Favorite 2016 Release: What's your favorite game that you played this year that was released in 2016?

Least Favorite 2016 Release: On the opposite end, what's your least favorite game released in 2016. Keep it civil, y'all. XD

Favorite Game Played in 2016: All of us enjoy games from yesteryear. What game this year earns your spot for best game ever? It could be released in 2016 if you like, but my guess is most will pick something released from a different year.

Least Favorite Game Played in 2016: And again, on the opposite end, what's your least favorite game that you played this year? I know I played a few stinkers, so this one will be hard for me to pick.

Sleeper Hit of 2016: What's your personal sleeper hit for 2016? Pick a game that didn't get much promotion and/or little marketing, yet still turned out to be a good time. Try to make it from 2016, but any year works.

Favorite Gaming Moment in 2016: What moment in a game you played this sticks in your head the strongest? Was it something awesome? Something tragic? Something completely over the top? Keep spoilers to a minimum or mark them if you can.

Proudest Collection Accomplishment of 2016: Did you find a helluva deal? Share the story and the game that came with it! These are usually really fun to read.

I'll give my answers in my next post.

So does that mean someone else can buy them and make new games with them? Earthworm Jim was always an entertaining franchise.

Hey everyone! I didn't feel like making a new thread so I figured I could update this one. I have Cyber Troopers Virtual On Oratorio Tangram (good lord that's a mouthful!) for the Sega Dreamcast for sale or trade.

General / Human Strategy Guide
« on: August 10, 2016, 11:02:16 am »
I'm bored, so here's a new topic.

Are you an expert on any games? Like, a 100%-perfect game expert? If someone were to go into a game without any idea of what to expect, would you have the answers to all of their questions? Even if they wanted to uncover every secret and hidden extra?

Who needs a regular strategy guide when they have you!

I consider myself an expert on only two games. The first is Mega Man X4. I've played it so many times and feel like I can guide anyone through it no matter their history with Mega Man.

The second is Star Ocean: The Last Hope. Since you have to do everything, and I mean -EVERYTHING- to earn the platinum trophy or all of the achievements, I know I can guide someone through the game whether they just want to play it casually or if they want to do as much as possible. I actually wrote a guide for the game's second bonus dungeon.

What about the rest of you? What's a game that you can help guide me and others through?

Hey there, kiddos. I have decided to remove this game from the collection and wanted to see if anyone was interested in it before I placed it in the frontier of eBay.

I'm not sure why the picture is so big, but as you can see the game is complete. The game has been tested and works. The box looks great. The manual is a bit rough around the edges as you can see by the cover, but it's there with all of its pages and no rips.

Feel free to send a PM if you're interested. With the holiday, I won't be able to respond as quickly as usual but I will try!

Thanks!

EDIT: All gone!

As mentioned, there are some major spoilers ahead if you've been living under a rock. So, proceed with caution and such.

Last warning...

So, I was thinking of replaying FFVII and had a thought: if Aeris wasn't killed, would I use her in my final party set-up? In all of the times I have played FFVII, the party would always be Cloud, Tifa and one other. One time it was Red XIII, another time it was Vincent. But, I thought it would be fun to have Aeris in the party because of her high magic ability. Also, her Limit Breaks were really useful.

Alas, Sephiroth had other plans.

What about the rest of you that played it? Would Aeris have had a place in your party?

Hey everyone. I have a barely used fighting stick for the PS3 that is not getting any use from me. If there are any fighting game fans here, I'd be happy to sell or trade it to them. I can also provide more pictures if needed.

Thanks as always. If there isn't any interest after a while, I'll probably put on e(vil)Bay.

Off Topic / Username origins.
« on: April 19, 2016, 04:11:45 pm »
I thought that it would be fun to learn about the origins behind everyone's user name on this site. I'll start.

Kashell is short for Kashell Triumph. Over 15 years ago, I registered on GameFAQs.com with the username of Kashell Triumph because I was playing both Thousand Arms (the main character's last name is Triumph) and Valkyrie Profile (my favorite character is Kashell) at the time. Ever since, Kashell has just kind of stuck. Some folks call me Kash, a few call me Kashy, some used to call me Kashy-Dahling (there's a long story behind that one) and other variations. And yes, it's Mr. Triumph if you're nasty.

Now, I make Kashell my username anywhere I'm able to do so. When I'm playing a new game that asks me to name the main character, I either use my real name or Kashell. It just depends on my mood.

What about the rest of you?

Once again, I went through some stuff that I no longer felt "fit" in ye olde collection. So, I decided to see if anyone was interested in any of these titles.  No worries if anyone doesn't respond; there's always the option to put them towards credit. ^.^ Here's the list. See the picture below. All games are working. Almost all of the games are complete. See the descriptions below.

1. Titanfall The titan has fallen! ...or something.
2. Dead Rising 3 Like a zombie in a quiet contest, this game is out.
3. Yakuza Dead Souls The Yakuza has fallen...to someone's collection.
4. Enemy Zero - as you can see, there is a crack on the front of the case. Also, the four discs are not in Sega Saturn disc holders. Instead, they're in generic holders. Everything else about the game is great.
Someone has "zeroed" in on this game.
5. Glover Wave goodbye to the glove!
6. Kirby Tilt n' Tumble. Obviously, it's the cartridge only. I have an extra copy of the game with the manual. No sense in holding onto two copies.
Instead of hiiii, he now is saying byyyee!

All gone. Thanks!

What's up, folks? I was going through some stuff and I decided to part with a few items. I was going to trade them in and help make a dent in my pre-order, but I wanted to see if anyone had any interest before doing so. There's nothing too crazy in this list, but it never hurts ask. ^o^v

All games are in lovely condition and complete in their boxy-poos.

1. Heavenly Sword for PlayStation 3 Later, woman.
2. Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus "Let's Get Physical Edition" (comes with the b00b book, soundtrack, outerbox, etc.) for PlayStation Vita Like Pamela Anderson's original breasts, this game is gone.
3. Valkyria Chronicles for PlayStation 3 Someone has claimed the fight for Gallia!
4. Guilty Gear XRD for the PlayStation 3 Destroyed!
5. The Evil Within for PlayStation 4 Now the healing can begin...
6. Jikandia: The Timeless Land for PSP Someone got this time piece.
7. Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call - Limited Edition for 3DS. I unlocked a ton of stuff in this, so if you do have an interest in it, you'll have a huge start. Like Aeris from FFVII, this game is gone!

Like I said, nothing too wild and crazy here. Feel free to ask any questions. I will happily provide pictures and such, too.

EDIT: All gone; thanks y'all!
