Well guys, I bought out my friends shop. He presented a deal I couldn't refuse. With this in hand I'm keeping the stuff I don't have and was planing on gathering some of them and posting it on here for sale. Soo pretty soon you'll be seeing a lot of stuff. Ps2, nes ,SNES, GameCube, ps1 Xbox etc. Also some will be on my eBay account if you guys see something you want on there let me know and I'll check to see if I have an extra one.

Recently it popped in my head that I want a rob. But one thing I'm seeing.... No deluxe CIB everyone wants 1000+ and the deluxe ones under 500$. Now I'm not gonna pay close to that but this is something I must be lost with... Does it have to do with the 3 screw gyromite? Someone please shed some light for me here

Probably the best advice I can give anyone who is just getting into collecting is to be patient. You will see a lot of games when you're on the hunt for them, but the vast majority of them (especially retro games right now) are overpriced. Looking frequently at thrift stores, flea markets, craigslist, garage sales and places like that will save you a ton of money in the long run. Even carefully combing game stores can pay off when you catch them slipping.

In addition to being patient, it is also good to be well informed about the games you are after and what they typically go for on Ebay. That way you have a point of comparison as to whether or not you are getting a good deal.

Amen to that..

Any ideas on how to organize controllers??? There a damn mess....

You know those shoe holders you can hang on the back of door or closet? They have pouches for each shoe.

We used those in our barracks in the Air Force, because we had limited space for our crap. I used the same idea, and on the back of the door in my game room is one those with a bunch of controllers. The extras I just shoved away into a drawer.

Lol you use vasoline to get that Dreamcast controller in there? Yeah I think I know what I'm going to do I'm short on money to get a shoe rack. I think I'm gonna tie them up with wire and hang them in on the closet rod.

Classic Video Games / Re: The obscure of the obscure console games
« on: April 20, 2014, 08:45:11 pm »
Yes I would want one If I had a chance at one, If I get one I'll be sure to let you know. lol  ::)

There's many obscure I could talk about, if you have been reading "My 8-Bits" series you'll see my reviews and experiences with the ones I have owned. In fact I just reviewed the PC-50X series which is an obscure console.

But If I have to say what my favorite to play obscure console is that I happen to own?

Number one would have to be the Sammy Atomiswave Custom.
This was made to be a console for Arcade owners, They would place this console inside an arcade cabinet then they can buy new carts to change the game, kinda similar to Neo Geo MVS and Capcom's CPS2.

The original motherboard console isn't that hard to find, but a fully consoled version can be. From what I have found the system is extremely difficult to make into a console and when they are made they sell for well over $800. and that doesn't include the joystick or games. My system can use any Neo Geo controller but I picked up a full arcade stick to use with it. I had this playing at a party once and this system was being played non stop. I own seven games for it as of right now but I recently just ordered a new one. Biggest issue I have buying games for it is there's a lot of pirate carts out there.

Well this is going into my archives lol

Classic Video Games / Re: Counterfeit Games Being Sold
« on: March 06, 2014, 10:33:23 pm »
It is becoming more and more popular unfortunately. Probably the worst case of counterfeit games are the Pokemon games. I actually see more fakes than real ones these days, specifically at several game stores that buy them in order to pull a fast one on their customers. I have reported all of them to Nintendo and other anti-piracy agencies. I know a guy locally who makes and sells a bunch of fake games as well. He is a total piece of shit and I have been trying to get him shut down. If any one wants to help me here is his Ebay page:

http://www.ebay.com/usr/jd_pacey

At the moment he does not have any fakes up, but looking at his feedback you will notice countless bootleg games he has sold recently. The whole fake game market pisses me off. I just hate people who think they can profit off of other people's work.

Very true about the Pokemon. I advertised that I buy video games on craigslist the guy contacted me about having Pokemon games. I was very skeptic and asked him lots of questions before I bought.. But! They turned out real and I was happy. People non stop Selling Pokemon's from China.

Another bootleg I see a lot is higher end Atari games like Halloween and Texas chainsaw and such. It sucks this happens but when a games worth 300 and such people get desprate
