I used to play (but never successfully beat) DoReMi Fantasy: Milon's DokiDoki Adventure on the Wii Virtual Console. I liked playing Milon's Secret Castle for the NES so I thought I'd enjoy its sequel. The graphics were really nice and cartoony but I didn't get into it as much. Nothing was translated but it didn't matter much since it was only platforming.. At least the parts I played through.

Another year. Another Louisville Arcade Expo. As always, it was a blast to hang with Turf and his bro. We even ran into the lovely FlashBack2012!

Arcade games, pinball machines, consoles, and everything in between. What a great weekend!

I thought about going to that! I'm in the area but have never been... maybe next year.

Do you know of any other Louisville gaming events happening soon?

I recently tried to update the front and back cover for Q.U.B.E. 2https://vgcollect.com/item/158422 (currently only shows what looks like a screenshot from the SRG website)  from SRG but both images got rejected. My method for getting the images was by taking a picture from my phone and then cropping them. I've checked both pictures are under 2MB.

If you want to report this type of thing to this thread, you need to also post the pictures. This isn't a complaints box! :p

Make sure they are rotated properly, and try to get that size down. Remember the image gets resized to 200px width, so the closest to that size, the less work the site has to do. Sometimes this work can cause the image to get corrutped on import, which would lead to a reject.

Oops, that's my bad! I thought I did link those pics. But thank you for the advice. I'll try getting them editing them and submitting again.

I keep an eye only on my current funds in the bank. but I don't keep track of my old game buying receipts. And is this really a  VGCollect feature? I didn't know about until now.

Is adding how much you paid for something in your collection really a feature this site offers? And?

Isn't this log feature on what you spent visible to everyone who uses VGCollect to look at? If so? does anyone really want just anyone to come along, and see what kind of money we have spent on merchandise for our collections? over this vary large online public community? ???

is this feature something everyone sees? or it only visible for the member that is using this feature I'm confused.

This site is pretty lacking in actual abilities for viewing the price you put in. I've only been able to view my own prices (which I put in while adding the game) when I go back into edit my collection entry. I've never been able to see others' prices. If I want to check price totals for my collection, I usually export a CSV and total it in a Google Sheet. I'm fine with this since this isn't something I do regularly (maybe two other times.)

People log cost?
Not sure about other people, but I like to put the price in for personal reference so I know how much I've put into my collection. Also allows me to look back after a while and compare current pricing with what I originally got a game for.

How did you find Sethrman's collection? I'm not exactly sure how to search for that.

@nickawesome Did you use a custome CVS template or did you download the one provided when you click export on this site? I tried to bulk upload using the CVS generated by this site but Gamevaulenow didn't accept it.

The only issue i see with this is that the prices for each game would have to be updated daily to weekly for each game and thats a big task.

For me, I'd just like to see the prices for my own reference. Currently the I put in the price I paid for an item when adding it to my collection and the only way I can find to view those prices again is to go to my collection and hit edit on an item. I feel like a way to view your collection's total value at a glance would be convenient and the task would fall on the user during the game/device adding process.

How do you or are you able to view your collection's price total or price breakdown?

I like putting in prices for my games when I add them so I can have a record of it but I can't seem to find a totaling of it in my collection view or an easy way to check it the value I paid for individual games. Am I missing something?

Appreciate all replies.

Some of my most prized possessions are ones that just hold a lot of sentimental value to me.

I still have my original Gameboy SP that I used to take on road trips growing up and have it displayed with all my other handhelds. Also my childhood SNES along with a couple of games like Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country 2.

I think if I was ever to sell off my collection for any reason I'd make an effort to keep those items above everything else due solely to the memory tied to them.

Classic Video Games / Re: Do You Own a Dreamcast? What Game Drew You In?

I feel like the hardware drew me in first and then the games. I really liked the look of the console, the weird controller/memory card, and was sucked into the hype people had when talking about it. The first games I deliberately set out to get for it were Crazy Taxi and Shenmue just so I had two really solid staples of the game library. The game that really got me excited though was The Typing of the Dead. It was a quirky concept that I couldn't pass up! Just wish I had a better keyboard for it that the keys don't get stuck on.

VGCollect for Android / Re: iOS App - Gauging Interest
« on: August 18, 2018, 09:15:05 pm »
I’d be very interested. I actually checked the App Store first and then came to the forum to find this post.

Even if the app was just the ability to add games and edit collection I’d appreciate the easy access of adding games and game details on the go.
