Classic Video Games / RetroTink - Worth it?
« on: October 20, 2020, 12:26:50 pm »
Hey All,

I was looking for an affordable option to play retro consoles on my hd tv. I know there are some great choices like the OSSC or framemeister but those are
a little too pricey for me unfortunately.

I've heard great things about the RetroTink series from Mike Chi and was wondering if anyone owns these products and their thoughts.

They recently released the Retrotink Mini ($69.99) which cuts back on costs by getting rid of Component cable compatibility which most people didn't need.

I just need something that works better than this junk below for playing systems like N64, GCN, PS1, PS2 etc.

Will the retrotink mini be worth it for that?

General / Krikzz - Everdrive Question
« on: August 05, 2020, 02:35:42 pm »
Does anyone own any products from Krikzz? If so I'm looking to own an everdrive 64 (which to those who are not familiar is basically just every n64 game loaded onto a single cartridge).

I'm not too knowledgeable in this area so I'm just curious though how is this legal, and how is Krikzz able to sell this product and make a profit off of nintendo products? Do they have some deal with nintendo?

To my understanding, the only way it becomes illegal for me is if I stream/make videos off of these games without owning the actual games correct (not that I think anyone would care enough or enforce this)?

Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks.

-edited Kritzz to Krikzz (thanks pzeke)

Hey Everyone,

Epic Games is giving away Killing Floor 2 until Jul 16th, pick it up quick while you can, they seem really indecisive about giving this away considering it's already de-listed three times the past week.

Great horror, survival, co-op shooter  :)

General / Value Increase of Games Lately
« on: May 22, 2020, 09:31:09 am »
Hey all,

What are your thoughts on the sudden spike in video game prices lately? Is it sustainable or is it because games are transitioning more towards virtual copies now that retro physical games are being chased even more aggressively to collectors. I feel like unlike stocks collecting video games are virtually guaranteed to appreciate in value unless the video game industry decides to re-release physical copies for old games which is extremely improbable (granted this is NOT the case for every single video game, but I'm talking from a big collection standpoint).

Also let's share what are some of your games in your collection that have just shot up in value lately (past timeframe 1-3 months)?

-Some I've noticed are all handheld Pokemon games, GCN games in general including titles like Fire Emblem (GCN), Skies of Arcadia (GCN) just to name some.
