Yeah, Orta is amazing. You are definitely missing out. When you have those guys that believe video games should be considered an art form, this is the game that I think of.

Some I like, some I don't. But I do seem to be buying less and less of them.

The biggest thing for me is the companies wanting to abandon single-player focus for multiplayer focus. I'm a single-player/campaign guy. I'm there to explore worlds and experience stories. And it's gotten so bad that they're starting to not have single-player campaigns in some games, at all.

Nice! Bucky O Hare is a score!

^ I agree on nearly all of your points. Disjointed mess of a movie.

But the action scenes were actually cool, if you could ignore the terrible story. Lots of blood, violence, and explosions. And that scene with the forcefield coming on was unforgettable!

Like others have said, I just buy games I want to play. And I look for bargains on them.

I still need Luigi U and the physical versions of Shovel Knight and Super Mario 3D World (have them digital). Then I'm done. I see no need for an HD Wind Waker, given the art style. I have the GameCube version.

I just bought a Wii U game...I just wanted to share that because it's been so long since I've even played my Wii U, let alone buy a game for it, that it felt special.

I upgraded my LoZ: Twilight Princess to the HD version on Wii U.

Good. As as Wii U owner, you should have this otherwise you get banned...from something I mean

Wasn't in a big rush since I had the GameCube version.

Yeah. I paid for them. And it keeps me from paying for it again, unless I just love it so much I have to have the physical counterpart.

General / Ys Books I & II Question
« on: December 31, 2018, 04:05:59 pm »
So I've been pretty hit or miss with Ys games. I remember playing the original way back on the TurboGrafx-16...and I hated the bump system. I also played Ys III on SNES, and hated how the game felt like it was in fast-forward constantly.

But then I played more recent entries (Ark of Nasptism and Oath in Felghana), and I LOVED THEM. I also ordered Ys Seven as a result.

So now I'm looking at Ys: Books I & II for either PSP or DS. I hear that the PSP version has the dreaded bump-system from the original that I hate. But that the DS version uses a real attack button. Awesome, so I'm gonna get the DS version, I think. But then a buddy tells me that the DS port is just a steaming, buggy, pile of garbage...

What do you guys think? How is the DS version? Is it that bad?

I can use PayPal for a purchase on GameStop's website. I can also use a gift card. But I'm not allowed to use both (PayPal for remainder after gift card is used)...WHY?!

Avengers: Infinity Wars is definetly #1 for me. Such an epic and heavy superhero movie with amazing special effects and repercussions that will echo throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Venom was pretty damn awesome to see on the big-screen, finally, for me, too.

General / Re: Do Prefer Video Games That Have An End? Or Keep Going?
« on: December 29, 2018, 08:46:56 pm »
I prefer games to have an end, though I don't mind if they let you carry on exploring or whatnot after the 'end', even if non-canonically. I like story-driven games best and I need my stories to have a satisfying conclusion or they feel like a waste of time.

This.

Love them. Own a large number of them dating back to the SNES even (Super Mario All-Stars).
