I think the answer is painfully obvious since only one of those are actually real. Any answer other than Axis is wrong. Hitler REALLY committed mass genocide.

well obviously but I thought the question was more fitting as a "if resident evil was the real world" or "if final fantasy 7 was the real world" type situation.

And the Empire blew up Alderaan and the First Order obliterated 5 planets in the Hosnian system. Problem is comparing real world horrors to make believe ones minimize the impact on real people in the real world. It's a stupid thread/question frankly.

General / Re: What is a console in your collection that is underplayed?
« on: February 09, 2017, 08:19:13 pm »
I'd say it was a tie between the PS2 and N64. However I can't say that now because I gave both (small) collections the boot and sold them. Of the systems I own now it's probably the Genesis. I also have a Wii that I haven't touched in a while (which I may mod for the homebrew channel) and a PS3 which is mostly used as a Bluray player or to watch Netflix and Youtube. I don't count those as part of my "collection" though.

If I were to rate my collection from least played to most played it would be:

Genesis
Commodore 64
Colecovision
TG-16
SNES
GB/GBC/GBA
NES
Tandy Color Computer
Atari 800XL
Atari 7800
Atari 2600

Right now, it's Word Cookies on my phone. I can't get anything done now. My life is in shambles. Fricken anagrams.

Classic Video Games / Diskun Prize Disk
« on: January 15, 2017, 05:00:34 pm »
I thought I'd post this here, just for interest sake. I know nothing about this but apparently they are very rare and valuable? It's a Diskun Prize Disk. It was traded into the local game store by a collector who had some very special items like this. He also had a Mike Tyson signed "Punch Out" for the NES as well as a SMB3 signed by the Mario voice actor. Anyway the game store owner isn't selling the Diskun but will hold onto it for a while to see if the value increases. I took a picture because it seemed to warrant it as a very interesting piece of gaming history. I'm not really an NES collector beyond the few dozen games I enjoy but I thought some here might enjoy something like this.

Dirt cheap atari games were always dirt cheap but some of the mid range rarity games like say your Tapper's, Spy Hunter, or Pengo for example used to go for a lot more than they currently are. They were $50 - $60 games or more and now are around $25 to $30.

As for the rest, it's hard for me to personally gauge as EVERYTHING from the NES forward is still sky high around my area.

Leave or stay? Come or go? In or Out? Ingress or Egress?
I guess this is some kind of reference, is it from the new GooseBlasters movie?

No I'm joining Marvs game of "this or that". Choices are great. In fact it's inspired me to create a clickbait website to ask inane questions of "this or that" so that mindless lemmings will be drawn by their zombie like need to have their 2 cents on the great debate of the day like elephant or panda, bun or wrap, Laverne or Shirley, Star Wars or Star Trek. It will make more money than Pokemon Go!

I didn't know that "stupid" and "annoying" was a style.

You can leave whenever you like

CTR for me. Mario Kart is great but I've always found the original CTR the superior kart game from that generation.

Congrats on making a mature decision. I went through the same thing before we bought our house and even though I still have my collection, that point in my life was also a catalyst to take stock on collecting and cut back. I still haven't stopped but buying has slowed to a trickle and since I consider my collection to be, for the most part, complete I simply don't hunt anymore and it is strangely nice to think about all the money I'm NOT spending on video games every week. It's like someone who quits smoking, they find it amazing how much more money they have. Good luck!

Modern Video Games / Re: What game are you waiting for the most?

The Force Awakens Lego game, surprisingly to myself, is one I'm waiting for. I'm a big SW fan and always liked the humor in these games so I may pick it up. Other than that, the only other "new" games I'm interested in are homebrews for older systems.

He buys games for pennies on the dollar and flips them and he burns people and backdoors people.

Does he offer lube with every purchase?

So I have the original big box DOS PC floppy version of WITWICS from 1989 and when I search the closest one presented is this one

http://vgcollect.com/item/40270

However that one is a 1996 CD-rom re-release but it's listed as having the original name which prevents me from adding the proper original DOS version to the database. Shouldn't the one listed above be amended to mention that it's a later CD-Rom release? I would think the original PC version from 1989 should be the only one called "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego" and later releases should have amended titles. What do mods think?

Portal 1 and 2. Yes they are different than other FPS because they are classified as first person puzzle games but that's why I like them. Really fun and no ultra violence and gore.

Probably playing Boot Hill in the arcade in the 70's and then Outlaw on the 2600 when we first got the system. It was one of the first games we got because we both loved Boot Hill.
