General / Re: Dumpster diving game stores?
« on: December 31, 2013, 09:20:54 pm »
I have gotten tons of stuff from Dumpster diving, I dont do it very often nowadays (Wife told me to stop due to lack of room  :) ) but Game Crazy was the best to dumpster dive in. I got 2 working Xbox's, a PS1, a bunch of games, Posters Galore and a lot of Promo stuff. Oh and I've probably gotten about a 100 strategy guides. It's crazy the stuff they throw out. If you can do it I suggest to do it.

I wish I had the money to buy one. I like the idea of just a basic unit that only plays games.

Got my Atari 2600 and I love it!!!

That is why it is my favorite system of all time. But again (Controversy Time) I like E.T. on the system.  ;D It never disappoints. If you want to try lots of games I highly recommend a hormony Harmony Cart. http://harmony.atariage.com/ You can get the roms and put them on an SD card and play your games through it. I use it for when friends come over to play so they don't mess with my originals. :)

Fallout 1, 2 , and Tactics are free right now over at GOG.com. Just thought I would let you guys know.

New homebrew game Called Desert Bus 2600 just came in the mail.

Bummer   :(   if you haven't grabbed the rom yet I suggest you try it out on an emulator or if you have a harmony cart put in on there, pretty good translation considering its on the 2600

I usually do half to charity and half to devs.

Good to hear that its a good game, I thought about getting it but decided to get Desert bus 2600 instead. Also saving up for legends which has only been mentioned. Ther are some pretty good homebrews for the 2600, did you get Princess Rescue before they got the C&D?

I've been trying to find a Tandy Computer for some time now. My friend from across the street had one when I was just a lad :) I think it would be cool just to have one.

I have a Commodore 64, Older PC with windows 98 and an Apple IIGS set up in one of my rooms. I use the the PC and Commodore 64 pretty often but not the Apple very much (Only have one game for it). I'm also have a computer in the garage that I will put Windows XP on for games that won't play on the windows 98 machine.
