You can buy the songs individually on iTunes for $0.99 it looks like

Interesting. Does iTunes still put the file in a propriatary format where you can't listen to it on anything but an Apple device or require iTunes on the device? It was Apple's closed system that turned me off of doing business with them.

Hmm... it seems Amazon allows the purchase of the individual songs on PC. I was checking on mobile and didn't see the individual download links. You just can't preview the tracks to ensure you're buying the right one.

A bit frustraited at the FF7 Rebirth soundtrack. Love the music, but not willing to pay $70 for an absured collection of 175 songs across 7-8 discs. There's like... a dozen songs in the game I really liked. Went to Amazon to piece meal it at a buck each, and they don't even allow you to listen to the tracks without purchase... let alone purchase individual songs. So that sucks. Cheapest I can go is $45 for the entire digital group of 175 songs... but I'm still wasting about $30 on the 160 songs I wouldn't bother listening too more than once.

Very annoying.

Finally beat FF7 Rebirth (PS5). That marks my 3rd game completed this year. I won't go into details of the story, but I enjoyed it and look forward to the third and final entry in the Remake.

I opted to try out Fallout 4 which thankfully was a PS Plus title last year that I had claimed. I'm also playing Helldivers 2 (can't really beat this can you?), God of War R (PS5) and going to replay RE5 (PS4).

Last year's Apple Arcade exclusive TMNT game Splintered Fate is coming to Switch first and then other consoles. It's a co-op roguelike.

Appreciate the heads up. I like the art. Might have to look into this if they release a physical version. Hopefully it makes its way to PS5.

I've never been a huge fan of Shadow, TBH. While I know the character will be in the third Sonic movie, I'm hoping Metal Sonic makes an appearance as a formidable foe as well.

As for Sonic x Shadow... I'll have to wait and see more.

If you are thinking about a PS3...I'd say do it. It's a great system (I just bought another yesterday...I found one and was like...why the heck not), and I personally think PS3's and 360's are only going to rise in value. It was the last gen you could really just plug in and play with out relying on the internet.

Agreed. The PS3 era was in many ways the pinnacle of gaming, at least for me. Series like Uncharted, Mass Effect, and Witcher were born in this era. The PS4 improved upon them graphically and was a great consolidation system, bringing many favorites from various eras and ecosystems into one place.

To give you an idea, I've had a PS5 since launch and only 3 generation exclusive games were interesting enough for me to buy...
 - A Plague Tale Requiem
 - Star Wars Jedi Survivor
 - FF7 Rebirth

All my other PS5 games are also on PS4... including the newest God of War.

Guess I will have to wait another couple of years before getting my hands on a PS5 or a Xbox One, am saving money just to get an used PS4, by the way I saw some videos of Stellar Blade at TikTok and the game looks pretty decent, it seems that the main character is taking everybody attention with those "details"  8)

Honestly, most games don't take long to have a price drop. 6-12 months and they're down by 30-50% -- especially on big days like Black Friday. Here's the thing. If you're working to snag a PS4... enjoy the PS4. It's a better library and 95% of modern releases are also on PS4. Unless you're wanting very specific games exclusive to PS5, which there aren't many, just wait for PS6 and see if it'll be PS5/4 backwards compatible. Maybe by then, the PS5 will have a library worth owning a system for.

As it's a subscription "freebie" I'm not adding it to my collection, but hey... saves me $70.

Excuse me but since when the games started to cost 70 bucks ?  :o

They started this gen. Not all games, but many now. Just played the Stellar Blade demo. It's fun, but I'm not spending the requested $70. There is one game per year, I'm willing to spend that on. Last year, it was Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (Switch). This year, it was FF7 Rebirth (PS5). Next year... who knows if I'll even be alive. There's certainly nothing that has a concrete release window that I'm looking forward too anymore.

My Playstation Plus sub granted me an unexpected surprise -- Gave me one of the games on my list:

Polite pass on this one. I'm no masochist. Trying to remember every Mario game played over my life and then rank their difficulty? Yeah... polite pass.

All the Uncharted games.
Mass Effect trilogy
Tomb Raider 2013
AC 2, Syndicate and Unity
Resident Evil (og or Remake)

Shenmue would be added if it had an ending.
FF7 may be added after I've had the chance to beat the Remake trilogy.

I was never big into speedrunning but gave it a shot on the OG Resident Evil on PS1 back in the late 90's. I ended up just shy of 90 min which I thought was pretty damn good.

I looked it up this morning and as of a couple years ago, the record holder sits at 38.04 minutes with a slew of others in the 38-39 min range behind him. That's intense and I feel there must be some cheats involved somehow.

Kudos to the record holder. Let's assume it's a legit run with no cheats or glitches taken advantage of. Still impressive. Now what? Is there anything other than bragging rights that only the person in the top spot and those on their coat tails care about?

Unless you entered the glitchless leaderboard. high odds that they used some glitch to skip some parts. I do recall multiple resident evil games having sizable skips.

That would make sense. Was trying to figure out how I could possibly shave an hour off my time and considering I was hauling through the game with letting the two possible characters you can save, die and bypassing the second battle with the Tyrant, there's just no way to make that big of a difference.

Yeah... I wasn't a huge fan of the new Ninja Turtles for various reasons, including the art direction. Everything was ugly in that movie. They couldn't even make a stop light without making it ugly. Going to go with this instead as it's the Ninja Turtles my son enjoys the most:

Probably get him the Switch version though. Comes out end of April.

As it is, there's no reason for me to buy another Nintendo. For there to be any chance for me to bite, Switch backwards compatibility is a must. Otherwise, I'll be skipping Switch 2.
