Got a new New Nintendo 2DSXL a week ago since my New 3DSXL was unfortunately having button problems and with that I got back to playing A Link Between Worlds. Enjoying the game so far although I like A Link to the Past more. Other than that, I've been playing the Rockman X Legacy Collections on Switch using a PS2 controller thanks to a PS2 to GCN controller adapter thing I found at a thrift store.

-Dragon Quest XI
-Bayonetta 3
-Kingdom Hearts III
-Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1&2
-Mega Man 11
-The Switch Yoshi game
-Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
-Super Mario Party
-Sonic Mania Plus
-Spyro Reignited Trilogy
-Fugue of the Battlefield (even though it's a ways away)

In terms of value: I found Mega Man 7 at a thrift store back in October; it was legit and still had a nice looking label.

However, in terms of the favorite thing I added to my collection over the last year, it'd have to be a complete copy of my favorite video game: Dragon Quest V for the Super Famicom with both official player's guide books.

I can list a few:

gameboy
1. Mole Mania (an action puzzle game by Shigeru Miyamoto)
2. Heinkyo Alien (a Pac-Man-esque game, although it originally came out a year before Pac-Man)
3. Ghostbusters II (a gameboy version of HAL's New Ghostbusters II)
4. Picross 2 (picture logic puzzles)
5. Mega Man IV/Rockman World 4 (closest thing to perfection for Classic series Mega Man in my opinion)

snes/super famicom
1. Zoop (weirdly addictive abstract puzzle game, was released on basically every relevant platform in 1995)
2. Super Tetris 3/Super Puyo Puyo 2 Remix (4 player battle mode)
3. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie (Fun 1-2 player beat 'em up)
4. SmartBall (platformer)
5. Dragon Quest III (JRPG, translation would be needed, remake of NES Dragon Warrior III)

ds
1. Solatorobo: Red the Hunter (Action RPG)
2. Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride (JRPG, remake of SNES Dragon Quest V)
3. Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (strategy game)

5. Mega Man ZX (metroidvania adventure type game)

sega genesis/sega cd
1. Pulseman (platformer)
2. Rocket Knight Adventures (platformer)
3. Wiz 'n' Liz (platformer)
4. Mega Man: The Wily Wars/Rockman Mega World (compilation platformer, bonus game called Wily Tower)
5. Rise of the Dragon (graphic adventure, good substitute for Snatcher)

nes/famicom
1. Door Door (arcade style game)
2. Whomp 'Em (platformer, Mega Man style)
3. Dragon Warrior IV (JRPG)
4. Journey to Silius (platformer)

Classic Video Games / Re: Rare Wii & Wii U Games?

I'd imagine the Wii version of Rodea the Sky Soldier would be difficult to find since it was only included with the first run of the Wii U version. Other than that, I can't think of any potentially rare or rare Wii games that haven't already been mentioned.

I played the PS1 games recently, having only grew up with Season of Ice on the GBA. While all 3 of the PS1 game are fun, I really only liked the first one mainly since I hated the character designs of Spyro 2&3; everyone who wasn't a dragon looked like a muppet to me. I haven't really been following the rumors, but if Activision is making a Spyro trilogy remake like they did with Crash, I'd be interested in playing it.

Currently playing the SNES version of Dragon Quest VI. It's just as blah/forgettable as the DS remake to me. Makes me want to go back and play basically any other Dragon Quest game...except for maybe II and IX.

Also playing Advance Wars: Duel Strike. May not be very good at strategy games, but the Advance Wars games are pretty fun.

Tried to pick games that either me or my family owned that came out in the following years for most of these. Some exclusions like '95 & '02 though as I didn't play those games until WAY after they came out.

1994- Mega Man X
1995- Virtual Boy Wario Land
1996- Super Mario 64
1997- Mega Man X4
1998- Pokemon Blue
1999- Super Smash Bros.
2000- Banjo-Tooie
2001- Dragon Warrior III GBC
2002- Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus
2003- Wario Ware: Mega Microgame$
2004- Dragon Quest VIII
2005- Pokemon Emerald
2006- Kingdom Hearts II
2007- Super Mario Galaxy
2008- Dragon Quest IV DS
2009- Dragon Quest V DS
2010- Mega Man 10
2011- Pokemon Black
2012- Kid Icarus: Uprising
2013- Rayman Legends
2014- Shovel Knight
2015- Yoshi's Woolly World
2016- Pokemon Moon
