I'm quite optimistical that a remaster in some way will be released.
As for Germany for example, it was leaked that someone managed to have this game put down from the countries list of banned video games. It was put in there quite shortly after it's release in the 90's due to "too realistic visualisation of killing"  ;D
So, someone achieved a lifting of the ban, presumeably for it to be re-released somehow.

It was the first egoshooter I played on console and it would be awesome to see this milestone of gaming coming back to life once again.

I for myself always hated beating Gades in Lufia II in the 1st encounter to gather his sword, for it always took me hours and hours to level up just enough to not be wiped out instantly.
Always cursed my greed for his blade ...

besides that, black Summons in Final Fantasy X also cost me some sweat, especially Bahamut and those three bug type Summons ... I also do not like being forced to look up guides and that's what was necessary to come up with a halfway helpful tactic ...

EDIT: I totally forgot: Chocobo race with balloons and birds in Final Fantasy X ... If you're a kind guy and want to test your anger management to the fullest, just try to reach the goal at 00:00 ... it brought out so much hatered in me, that I was scared of myself!!

Just got me a cartridge of Donkey Kong Country 2 for SNES and started playing it up to 52% in first session :)
Some things are just like riding a bike - U never forget how to do it, once you know how ...  8) Some of the best 16bit music ever created imo

Just finished playing Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth on the PS4.

I've always loved the lore of RoLW and playing a Metroidvania set in that universe was a pretty nice experience.
The game's visuals, some of its animations and even enemies are nothing more than a blatant rip-off of Symphony of the Night, but the gameplay offers some Ikaruga-like features that, at least for me, kept it fresh from beggining to end.

A great bang for the buck!

It's awesome to know that there are still some people out there who value this great franchise! I once played an emulated version of an SNES Game about RoLW and really enjoyed it!

Hardware and Tech / Re: Game Boy Micro Questions
« on: January 17, 2022, 03:21:14 am »
Only thing I know about the micro, is, that it was kind of released as a special collectors item short before Nintendo DS was released. I for myself didn't know that this kind of GameBoy existed till I had one in my hands! Guess it flew under the radar of many 3rd-party suppliers as well, just like it kind of flew under the radar of us gamers oO ?
That's just my suggestion, I don't have much valid data on it.
Finding a charging cable wasn't that hard, I never tried to get hold of a link-cable for it. But as it technicaly is a GameBoy Advanced, can't U just use standard GBA-cable??

Classic Video Games / Re: I got a N64! Woot!
« on: January 12, 2022, 02:42:08 am »
I still got our original anthrazite dark grey first edition from it's release date back in the 90s. Reset-Button got lost over the decades, but it still runs and I still got our favourite cartridges from back in the day, as they were:

- GoldenEye 64
- Perfect Dark
- The 2 Zelda Games
- Super Smash Bros.

and so on ... in my oppinion it was a great console for it's time, and retrospecively, it's quite impressing what graphics were possible still using cartridges instead of discs! oO

Sadly, N64 is the tiniest part of my collection, but I plan to change that ;-)

Question: did anyone ever made real extensive use of the rumble-pak? ^^ I never did though I own one.

This year, I'm kind of switching between 4 games: mainly I'm hooked on RPG-Maker MV for PS4, creating a little game of mine. Besides that I work on finishing Dragon Warrior VIII for PS2 ... lost in grinding, so I also started playing Summoner and Lufia 2 for SNES ... I always switch a title as soon as I get bored from grinding and such ...

You can actually beat Casino Games? There's an ending?

yes, by reaching 1.000.000 $ ... game really stops, giving you a picture of your gambler sitting beside a pool w 2 beautiful women ^^ it's important to note down your account-no. wich can be always checked as soon as you reach a thousand. That way you can always "load" your game, should you loose to much money. Quickest way to boost is the game Baccarat.

Woow! That's an impressive list!

@koemi1: this is actually the tiniest list of finished games since I started collecting games in 2018 ... last year it was about 35 titles finished oO but thanks!

I'm proud to post my list of 2021 finished games out of my retro-collection. The year started off weak on that behalf due to me being hooked by RPG-Maker MV for PS4 (creating a RPG at the moment), but as the months flew buy, I managed to finish way more games, than I expected.

Sorted by system:

Sega Master System:
- Casino Games

Sega Mega Drive:
- Truxton

Sega Game Gear:
- The Ottifants
- Devilish
- Super Columns

Sega Saturn:
- TruePinball

GameBoy:
- Who framed Roger Rabbit

GameBoy Advance:
- NES Classics: Excitebike

Wii:
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii

PlayStation:
- Pro Pinball - The Web
- Who wants to be a millionaire

PlayStation2:
- EyeToy: Play
- EyeToy: Play 2
- The Lord of the Rings: Adventures of Aragorn

PlayStation4:
- Death Tales
- Slyde
- Rayman Legends
- FoxyLand

That add's up to 21 Games finished in 2021

Favorite 2021 Release: None - this year I ran retro completely.

Least Favorite 2021 Release: Every FIFA- and AC-Game ;-)

Favorite Game Played in 2021: Fav game I started (re-)playing in 2021 was Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. I'm still on it ...

Least Favorite Game Played in 2021: Cyberia for PS1 ... total crap.

Sleeper Hit of 2021: None - this year I ran retro completely.

Favorite Gaming Moment in 2021: My favourite moment was when I beat Idura in Lufia II with just to actions (Maxim boosting Guy's attack, then Guy erasing him off the screen with one octo-strike of Gades' blade ... love it)

Proudest Collection Accomplishment of 2021: I finally got my hand on a copy of "Story of Thor 2" for european SEGA Saturn. I once found that one in a store, not having enough money to buy it, and when I came back to purchase it, it was already bought away by someone else. Months later I found another one, even a little bit lower on price, and I grabbed it. I wanted to own this game for years since I really enjoyed it's prequel on Megadrive.

Guess that's it from me

Except for every PlayStation ever released being kindly called "PlayZee", I name my possessions accordingly w their actual name ...

Site Feedback / Re: Finished games list
« on: October 12, 2021, 02:32:01 am »
I for myself use an excel sheet to keep track of the games I finish. My personal record was like 35+ games in 2019, but especially this year I'm quite low on finishes cause I'm hooked by RPG-Maker MV for PS4 ^^

But a system on this site here to make a list of it with finishing dates would be great, and I'd defenitely use it.

Elder Scrolls VI release date holiday 2021 or Q1 2022.

That's about the only thing that could be vaguely exciting.

You took the words out of my pen! That's exactly what I was going to answer  ;D
