Can we please lock the official release lists on some of the older consoles?  Especially the ones that don't have many variants like the TurboGrafx-16 and Sega Master System. I went into SMS NA today for the first time in a long time and well.... now I'm posting this...

Off Topic / audio setups gaming and home theater

How much stock do you put into your audio? For some PQ is all that matters and for others nothing matters as long as they can play/watch their games/movies. Most of my friends have large LCDs or plasmas and blast the sound from those crappy internal speakers... ugh...

Am I a minority who needs the audio equal to the picture quality? Or is it a matter of expense... where a $800 TV is justifiable and  a $800 HTIB is not.

General / How much is too much??

With the crazy prices fetching on eBay for some of the rarer classic titles, I wonder what others think too much is too much to spend on some of this stuff? I mean I bid $315 on eBay for James "Buster" Douglas Boxing for the Master System... Don't get me wrong It is a POS game and it would probably just sit on my shelf, but I'm not far off from having a complete US set. I'm one of those people actually willing to pay $500 for Magical Chase for the TurboGrafx if ever presented the opportunity. Ive been called crazy and I'm sure lots of people would agree with that, but whatever maybe I am! lol  And I do not make a ton of cash... I just have none of the bad habits that your average person has (drinking, smoking, drugs, etc..) so the money I would have blown on that stuff goes to games.

I'd say $500 is my limit on a super rare title and $1000 for hardware which means I'll probably never have a complete NES set ever...


I know everyone collects in different ways... Just wondering..

So what consoles have you completed? Me personally I have a big fat ZERO... ugh... but whatever.

I am nearly complete with my TurboGrafx-16 and Sega Master System.

Runner up is NES with about 2/3 the US set.

I am a System Administrator... It pays enough to support me and my addiction for the most part. lol
