Thanks for all of the insight, everyone. I'm still going back and forth. Sometimes I curse my heritage...I swear that people in Asia have the "I'm awesome at fighting games gene" and it makes it that much harder for us to keep up. XD

In other news, I'm still loving the hell out of Atelier Shallie.

In more news, the review for Luminous Arc 2 is up but I can't post it on here now since I'm at work.

And in more other news, my birthday is in two days! <3 Who else has a June birthday on here?

My birthday is on the 19th! Yay June babies! /highfive

I'm using advanced search and I'm searching for Amiibo and setting the category to interactive figures [NA]. When I get the list back, it shows there are 3 pages, but it won't actually change to the two pages when I click them. Anyone else getting this issue?

Video Games Monthly - Retro Games Subscription Box



This is a great idea, I want to subscribe. But I want some sort of sampling of what kind of games I'd get before I take the plunge. I don't want to get crappy sports titles, or 20 copies of Super Mario Bros.

Does anyone know anything about this or anyone that has subscribed to this before that can tell us their experience with it?

So I signed up, I was just too curious, and apparently I made it in for their first month! I signed up for the middle package, 4 games for $34.99. NES, SNES, Genesis, and N64 is available, and their promising more platforms to come.

Whoever runs their Facebook page messaged me and asked for my wishlist. So that is definitely promising and seems like they're going out of their way to try and get gamers what they want.

First box ships June 10th. I'll provide pics and my thoughts on it here when I get it.

I signed up as well, though I can only guess if I made it in for the first batch. I was disappointed that you're only allowed to put in 25 games that you already own. It makes sense as people would totally say they owned all the sports games just so they didn't receive any, but still. I know they wont send me earthbound or anything so I just put in my most common on SNES and just selected to receive SNES as it's my lowest collection right now.

Still, we'll see what they come up with!

I was able to put in 50 games, for each system. Still limiting, but not THAT limiting.

Oh looks like they updated the maximum! I'll have to add more in now

I called the Toys r us I hit up yesterday just out of curiosity to see if they had any Greninja's left. Sure enough, they had a handful. I got down there and grabbed the last one so I now have an extra Greninja. Need a Jigglypuff, Robin, and Lucina still.

It blows me away how many Greninjas my local TRU got. They had at least 50, if not more.

Yeah they really did it right this wave. Good on them.

Sorry for the double post but I just got back from running around for these things. Got a Greninja (my toysrus had a bunch o.O), charizard, silver mario, and wario. My Ness is in the mail. No jigglypuffs for me  . Robin and lucina seem super sold out lol

Bobster, you are a gentleman and a scholar! Thanks to your encouraging story about still finding a Greninja late in the day, I went back out & checked out my TRU. What do you know, all of their Wave 4's were on a table close to the front & they still had quite a few Greninjas! I snagged 2 (my wife was with me, so she got the other - limit 1 per person) so if anyone gets an extra Lucina or Robin I'll trade.

Yay good job! That's awesome. I still need Jiggly puff, lucina, and robin

lol run back and pick up one for me.

It's a half hour away and I'm done running around lol. I'll call tomorrow and see if they have any left though it's not likely.

I was refreshing the whole time, but apparently Lucina came into stock on Amazon & sold out and the page never even showed Amazon selling it for me. 

Yup same here. gone in 30 seconds. Confirmed by the guy from amazon on Reddit/r/amiibo. They got like 5 I think lol.

And it will be a miracle if you can get your order in for that. I'm gonna try too, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

On the bright side, my buddy scored me a Jigglypuff, so the only exclusive I'm missing is Greninja.

Yeah I'm really not hopeful, but hell it's not too much effort to try.

Not sure if anyone else got this, but I received an email from Amazon yesterday. I'm hoping to score a couple from this.

Thank you for your interest in ordering the new amiibo figures from Amazon.com! Quantities of the new characters are extremely limited, so we'd like to ensure that as many customers as possible have the opportunity to get the new figures!

Throughout the afternoon of Friday, May 29, we'll be posting each Wave 4 amiibo figure individually within the following time windows. Each will become available for purchase at a random time during that time frame. Mark your calendars for the following times this Friday!

Pac-Man: 2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. PT
Charizard: 2:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. PT
Inkling Boy: 3:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. PT
Lucina: 3:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. PT
Wario: 4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. PT
Inkling Girl: 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. PT

We've seen a tremendous amount of interest for the latest wave of amiibo figures and we're always working with Nintendo to get our hands on more. While we cannot guarantee that every customer who wants an amiibo will be able to purchase one when they become available on May 29th, we are doing our best to make sure customers have an opportunity to purchase their favorite characters!
