When you first played virtual boy.  When your mom rented it and you first tried it.   Had you had prior knowledge of the eye sight damage warnings,  eye strain in children under 7 warnings or Japan's law to make product quality assuring much more strict?   When you first played it did you know of the stigma behind the red lights hurting other people's eyes or did you go in fresh without that in your mind? 


Thanks for any input     I am just curious because I have a overlayed theory. 

Nope, didn't know anything about any warnings about the system. Just remembered us renting it, and I enjoyed it a lot and had us rent it several more times.

FIIK. Im barely awake anymore. But I think this weekend is the end of wishlist.

Sounds about right to me.

Timeline:
- OP was posted 9/13
- 1 month for signups, ended mid-October
- 2 weeks for wishlists, ending end of October-ish

I've heard some people complaining a lot but it doesn't bother me at all. I buy LRG because I like physical things. Could care less about the "limited" nature of it all.

Yeah, the items are still limited from what it looks like in that email. It's such a small number, I feel like there will just be more folks complaining that it wasn't available from Best Buy 'cause stuff sold out or wasn't in their store... 

But yeah, it doesn't bother me. I'm just curious about what the other covers will look like.

My must-haves for Halloween times are Kit Kats and Reese's Peanut Butter cups.

Outside of those, I've always liked 3 Musketeers, Twix, 100 Grand bars, Junior Mints, Peppermint Patties, Lindt Truffles...

I don't really care for dark chocolate, though.

But seriously, I don't have a strong sweet tooth. I will usually pick potato chips over chocolate any day.

Not yet - it's something related to a charity, so they had to delay it by a month to take care of legal stuff regarding that aspect. Supposed to be in November now I think?

Did you end up seeking to buy one again when you began collecting or do you plan on buying one for the memories? Also did it come in the big black box?  The rental box from blockbuster is very rare and awesome.

It totally came in that big black box with the foam insert. It was great.

I don't plan on buying it, but part of me does wonder about trying it again. I remember setting it up into a good position while I sat on the ground (which we did often in the gaming area of my house at the time) but I don't remember it being super uncomfortable. I was also like 12 or 13, and kids are used to being in bad postures anyway. I played a good amount of Mario Tennis, and I thought the 3D was really well done with it. The red and black didn't bother me a bit either... I guess I was just really immersed into it. It's definitely hard to look at screenshots of it now, but I wonder if it's actually as decent as my nostalgia tells me it was, haha.

I never understood the hate personally, but maybe I was the target audience for it. I had my mom rent it for me several times from Blockbuster when I was a kid, lol 

I was too young to want us to buy it, though, so our money was just going to Blockbuster rather than Nintendo.

Nah, I skipped on it. You can get on the waiting list or get a CE version of it still.

You might have to check back on the waiting listing if the item isn't listed there yet or contact their support desk directly.
