Am I going crazy, or did a bunch of stuff I posted here last night get deleted? Maybe not even deleted, it's more like they never happened. :o Anyone else notice this happen to them?

Huh. Yeah I think you replied to my XCOM post, right? Which is gone now.... There was maintenance last night. Maybe stuff didn't carry over at a certain point?

Indeed I did reply to your XCOM post. A PM I sent another user seems to have disappeared as well, since it no longer shows up on my sent items page. The changes I made to my forum sig have been undone as well. ??? This is the first time this has happened to me in all the years I've been here, so I was just wondering if anyone might know what was up. Thanks for the reply. :) I suppose I'll just repost my stuff then.

If I can keep up this pace year-long, I actually have a chance of finishing the challenge this year. :o Finished up Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 with both characters and just the regular endings. I had a lot of fun and at some point I'll get around to finishing with the true endings for both characters.

All these new Fire Emblem games!! I'm so happy I could cry. ;D ;D ;D :'( :'( :'( From the direct we've got news of a Fire Emblem Gaiden remake for the 3DS called Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows Of Valentia. Fire Emblem Warriors is getting a New 3DS release in addition to the previously announced Switch version. A currently unnamed Fire Emblem entry is also in development for the Switch. :D

Hoshi no Kirby: Yume no Izumi no Monogatari marks my fourth finished game of the year so far. This is actually the first time I've finished the original Kirby's Adventure, and it makes me really appreciate just how good of a remake Nightmare in Dreamland on the GBA is. I had fun, but the slowdown and the awful Retro Duo controller I was using to play it with did take away from the experience.

Finished up Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson tonight. I remember not really liking it too much when I first started playing it in 2015, so I stopped for a while. I picked it back up recently and played it to completion and found that it was quite enjoyable. Aside from a few rather unbalanced boss fights, I had a lot of fun and I'm glad I gave it a second chance and saw it through to the end.

Yay for Fire Emblem and Disgaea stuff on the Switch! The launch lineup isn't the best, but the titles planned for release over the next year look pretty solid. :)

Disgaea 5 for the Switch is a thing now and I'm excited. NISA has their obligatory Limited Edition available on their web store too.

Fire Emblem Warriors was also announced for the Switch. A bunch of other stuff too. So much all at once!

I'm not into the Zelda franchise, but I admit that this book looks pretty cool!

That's a pretty nifty slipcover.

Good to see you liked it. :)

Modern Video Games / The Super Retro Boy
« on: January 06, 2017, 05:03:37 pm »
Retro-Bit, the makers of the Retro Duo, have revealed details on their previously announced GBA clone system known as the Super Retro Boy. It will see a North American release some time in August of this year and will retail for $79.99 (USD I would assume). The system will play games off of Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance cartridges.

There aren't too many Game Boy hardware clones out there, and some GBA clones (like the RevoK101 Plus) don't play GB/GBC games. Looks pretty cool to me, though I'm not sure how I feel about having the L and R buttons added in as face buttons above the A and B buttons.

What are your thoughts?

I'm a little late to the thread, but here's my year in review. :)

Favorite 2016 Release: Overwatch (PS4) :D A lot of fantastic games released this year, but Overwatch was my favorite and by far my most played.
Runner up: Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X (PS4/Vita)

Least Favorite 2016 Release: Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet (PS4) I had very little in terms of expectations for this one, but was disappointed regardless.

Favorite Game Played in 2016: Tales of Graces F (PS3)
   Runner up: Pikmin 3 (WiiU)

Sleeper Hit of 2016: God Eater 2: Rage Burst (PS4)

Favorite Gaming Moment in 2016: The Nintendo Switch reveal. It was nice to finally know what the NX was after so long.

Proudest Collection Accomplishment of 2016: It felt great to get the rest of the North American Fire Emblem releases I was missing from my collection. Now I'm working on the Japanese releases and I only have a handful left.
