Modern Video Games / Re: Shenmue 3!!!

Well, Sony has announced that they are helping fund and develop the game. Which makes a physical PS4 release sound much more likely, and an XBO/Wii U release highly unlikely.

It was an AWESOME weekend, picked up some great finds. Garage sales where good to me this week.

!!! Congratulations of the awesome finds! According to VGCollect, you are now just 42 games away from the 10,000 mark!

Bolded: this is something that I realized with your other posts, and it is something minor, but you often write "where" when you mean "were."

Currently Pre-ordered:
Street Fighter V (PS4)
Tekken 7 (PS4) (my brother at least has the funds to pre-order it: EB Games doesn't have it available yet)

Want to pre-order (but don't have the money for):
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4)
Persona 5 (PS4)
Final Fantasy XV (PS4)
Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem (WiiU)
Fatal Frame V (WiiU)
Corpse Party: Blood Drive (PSV)

With the last game I would need to get a PlayStation Vita.

Wii U! I have accomplished the first of my 5(?) goals this year and purchased a Wii U! I already had Nintendo Land (my aunt and uncle hated it, so they gave it to me for free), and we got Bayonetta 2, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge. Now, I still need to reach 100 PS1 games (2 games away), get Silent Hill (possible), get black label and CIB copies of my games (almost impossible) and get every game that I used to own (almost impossible).

I may do this, but as I'm currently playing Persona 4, I don't know if I will have time to do the other game.

Well, the problem will come when we try to decide on the first game. Which game does everyone have?

I have never had a girlfriend/wife, so this has never been a factor for me.

There have been games in the past that I either destroyed when I was young or gave away and regretted. Now I am afraid of getting rid of a game and regretting it, so I hoard all of the games that I have. As for why I continue to buy games, well, I love them!

Hardware and Tech / Re: How do you guys hook up your PS2?

I have it connected to my HDTV with a component cable, but I switched the ratio of the component source to 4:3 to prevent the stretching of the image.

Am a wrestling fan in real life but not so much in video games but this one is the exception, have to admit that I purchased my copy only for this Dixie Clements image and because there was a promo of Metal Gear 3 and Rumble Roses in a magazine, in my personal opinion its a shame that the second one for the 360 is not as good as this one

If you haven't tried them out yet, the five Smackdown! games and the first 2 Smackdown! Vs. Raw games are great.

Definitely Street Fighter. Cheesy, but I still love it.

And I just hit over 10,000 items listed on VGCollect.
The 10,000th item is American Mensa Academy
While I have 10,010 items listed on VGCollect, technically I only have 9936 items in my collection.
I have 74 games that are from XBLA listed and digital downloaded games don't really count.
So... the count down continues lol

Also, depending on whether I counted correctly or not, you can subtract 504 items from the list (hardware, accessories, etc.) and come to a total of 9432 games!

Nice of you going to the trouble lol
But when it comes to judging a person's total collection number. Hardware and Accessories do count towards a gaming collection, I'd also count variations. The only other things that I personally don't count are duplicates, swag, promotional items, action figures, soundtracks, toys, digital software, etc. while I have added a few of these, much of it was never added to VGCollects data base. As for beating the "world record" I believe its only Games and "maybe" full consoles.

This is why when I counted down to 10,000 I only said "Items" and not games.
But i'll do a countdown on "games" once i get closer to 10,000 just games. lol
Maybe by the end of the year....

I wasn't trying to say that they shouldn't count, I was just trying to let people know how many games you had in case they were wondering. Anyways, I wish you the best of luck in reaching your goals for the year, hopefully this will be the best year yet! Also, I noticed that you don't collect PC games. Are you planning on doing that sometime in the future?
