Final Fantasy X: subpar music

I cringed reading this. Maybe I'm biased as FFX is my favourite game, but the music is a huge reason why it is for me. I just love the music so much in that game (talking about the original versions, not the remastered ones).

I was playing Final Fantasy X with my friend and brother, but my friend had to go home to do something, so we just paused the game. However, listening to the Besaid music was just so calming, I just listened to it for a long time, waiting for him to come back. I think that this was when FFX truly became my favourite game.

Well, I purchased my first games of 2015 today from an EB Games:
Academy of Champions: Soccer (Wii) - $2
Dead Or Alive Xtreme 2 (360) - $5
Also pre-ordered Street Fighter V for the PS4.

Finally found a copy of this game. About freakin time lol

I remember a few years ago my brother wanted to get this game, but I told him not to because it looks bad...Maybe I should have let him.

Beating a level of TimeSplitters past the easy difficulty...That game is so hard! Maybe it's just because I suck at FPS games.

Random grab today was a PS1 game called "Monsters, Inc: Scream Team".  Sealed, though not the best condition.  For only 35 cents! No clue why, but there was no price tag on it at the Salvation Army and then she just stated typing in stuff, maybe a sale that day and got it for practically nothing lol Probably a crap game, but hey! Sealed! lol

I beat this game 100% around 3 days ago. It's a good platformer, but extremely short and pretty easy.

General / Re: Why do people hate on the N64?

« on: January 02, 2015, 01:26:08 pm »

I personally love the N64 (my 3rd favourite console after the PS2 and PS1), and even though there were only 392 games released for it (402 if you include the DD games), I feel that many of them were of high quality. Of course when you compare the number of releases with the PS1 it is absolutely dominated, but the N64 doesn't have to be better to be great.

Looking at all of these takes me back in time, I can't believe that it's already been that long since you got Afrika! I wish you an even greater 2015!

General / Re: What are your collecting goals for 2015?

« on: January 01, 2015, 01:13:38 pm »

My goals from last year:

Get CIB and original copies of all of my games (FAILED)
Get the games that I used to own that I don't anymore (FAILED)
Get a Wii U (FAILED)
Reach 500 games (Achieved, finished 53 games over)

For 2015:
Same as last year I guess. Just for reference, there are around 130 games in my collection that aren't complete/the original release, so I probably will not achieve it this year, but it's a goal nonetheless. There are also 97 games that I used to own that I don't anymore, so that is a stretch as well. Some other goals:
1. Get a Wii U (Hopefully I can get one this year!)
2. Get Silent Hill
3. Reach 100 PS1 games (I'm at 91, so this should be easy, especially if I can get some of my previously owned games)

I believe that I started 2014 off, now I'll do the same for this year!

So, 3 days ago I went to Best Buy and got some PS3 games:
Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (PS3) ($15)
Tales Of Symphonia Chronicles (PS3) ($0 - Exchanged Killzone: Shadow Fall for it, as my parents got it for me without knowing that I had already had it.

Then I went to a local game store and used a gift card that my aunt and uncle got me for Christmas, along with my brother with whom I share my collection with, and ended getting these games:

Tekken 4 (PS2) ($4)
Kessen (PS2) ($4)
Tony Hawk's Underground (GC) ($6)
Dead Or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball (XB) ($8)
Final Fantasy IX (PS1) ($14)
The King Of Fighters '99 (PS1) ($10)
Astrosmash (INT) ($3)

I would post a picture, but it's really late, so I may post it later.

Classic Video Games / Re: Which (if any) Genesis sports games came with a standard cartridge?

It's mainly the EA games that have the unorthodox cartridges, most of the sports games by other companies use regular cartridges to my knowledge.

Video game wise my brother got me Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii. My parents got me Killzone: Shadow Fall for the PS4, only to find out that I already have it! So, I guess they will get me another game instead.

Non-gaming related I got The Raid 2, Rocket Robin Hood Vol. 2 and a set of 10 horror movies on DVD, Vol. 5 by Slipknot on CD, a nice pair of headphones, some books for learning Chinese, a Spanish dictionary and a video game magazine.
