I figured I would ask before creating a new entry. I picked up a used Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood from GS today and while trying to add it, I found that there's like half a dozen different entries for the game to choose from. My copy doesn't seem to match any of the ones listed as the picture on mine is slightly different.

I found an image of it on Amazon... http://www.amazon.com/Assassins-Creed-Brotherhood-Game-Exclusive-Content/dp/B00BI1G91O

The idea kicked around in my head that it deserves its own entry except for one detail. Where the UPC is on the back (which doesn't come up on an Amazon search) is a red box over the bar-code that says "Not For Resale". I'm wondering if the copy I have was part of a Limited Edition. The bar-code on my copy is 008888396253. Unfortunately none of the entries for Collector's Editions have bar-code information listed for me to match up with. I'm hesitant to add the game as I imagine it was never sold new by itself. I've half a mind to take it back up to GS and swap it for a different copy when I pick up Overwatch tomorrow.  :P

Anyone happen to have the CE of this game that can verify the UPC for me?  ;)

EDIT: ARGH...what a confusing pain in the arse this is!  :o  >:(  :(  :P

Besides AC: Brotherhood, I also picked up Assassin's Creed II and III. Of course my copy of ACII doesn't have the exact matching info as the PS3 NA entry, my bar-code is completely different. I thought that maybe the wrong bar-code was listed as the Item Number is the Amazon ASIN number but before I went to modify I noticed the Box back art had the UPC that was listed so I left the entry alone. With ACIII, I thought I found the one I needed but again...information was not lining up.  ???

Additionally, pricing was set by him, I just copied/pasted it from his e-mail. All I did was add the conditions for each. He did say I could discount if people bought more though so if possible no thread crapping or messenger killing.  :P

If anyone has any Q's, feel free to inquire via PM.  :)

Edit: Prices lowered, entry cleaned up, and pictures updated/made compliant. If there is a particular title (or bundle of titles) you're interested in, please feel free to reach out to me. I'm sure we can come to a mutually agreeable arrangement. :)

At least I try to anyway.  ;)

I can't be the only person who has this happen to them. I'll be editing an entry like say Panorama Cotton (http://vgcollect.com/item/21852) and then I'll edit another like Strider Hiryu (http://vgcollect.com/item/21587). In both instances I would see that there's text in the Description field. Now I have something of a love/HATE relationship with the dreaded Description field. When doing edits, I used to sometimes put information in like Number of players/levels, Mega count and notations like if a game used password save or had a battery back-up. I figured it would be good pertinent info to have on the listing but alas I quickly realized such info did not conform to the Style Guide for the Description Field and I was met with plenty of rejected edits.  :P

I would argue that the info I was adding could fall under "Trivia" but rather than putting up a fight I opted to acquiesce and decided instead to just largely ignore the Description Field completely except in cases where I would see a blatant violation of the Style Guide which I would then blank out. This brings me back to the two Mega Drive games listed above. In both instances I felt that the information in the Description Field either conformed with the Style Guide (Cotton) or it was too questionable for me to blank out (Strider). In both instances I decided to leave well enough alone and made sure my mouse pointer never came anywhere near the field. Or so I thought.  ;)

I logged in today and saw that I had new Notifications. While perusing them, I noticed a got an approved Edit for Strider Hiryu and a rejected Edit for Panorama Cotton...both for the Description Field.  Derp.  :P At this point I'm curious to know if there is a glitch in the Matrix somewhere that somehow gives me ownership over that information when I submit Edits for the other fields. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of getting dinged for the someone else not filling out the field correctly.  :o

General / January 2016 Pickups and Finds
« on: January 01, 2016, 02:49:55 pm »
New Year...new Pickups!  ;D  ;D  ;D

I got dragged out to breakfast/lunch this morning after only 4 hours of sleep ( :P ) and afterwards we hit up Target. Nothing decent clearance wise but I found a stray pack of Disney Infinity 2.0 Power Discs (Marvel) on a shelf and decided to scan them. They scanned at $1.50/pack. I moseyed over to the Infinity section and found 11 more packs and grabbed them all. I had 8 packs worth of unique discs and 4 packs worth of doubles.  :P

Most places are closed today so that limits our ability to gallivant around (and the places that are open have Sunday hours  :-\ ).
