General / Re: What are you playing?
« on: November 07, 2013, 01:15:06 pm »

I've been playing Batman Arkham Origins for the last few days, gotta say I love this franchise, I never get tired of it. I'm trying to 100% all the Riddler challenges at the moment.

And for Batman fans out there Kevin Conroy, voice actor of previous Batman games already leaked news that he is working on another Batman game in the future, probably for next-gen. Great news indeed  8)

Love it.

Even though it's very different from other Legend of Zelda installments it's still a fun adventure. When I first played it I was still young and didn't manage to complete it, only my second time playing it in my teens I got to fully play the game and finish it. This was after Link's Awakening and A link to the Past. Still a great game and enjoyed it very much.

Lots of great feedback and responses here  8)

And thanks Matt for considering creating a backlog list in the future.

Thanks for the responses guys :)

I use to list my now playing games as well in my signatures in previous forums I use to visit. But the list became too overbearing after a while. Too many titles just kept coming in and my backlog just kept growing, after a while I had to make my own excel sheet then I was using backloggery.com as well.

I managed to get my now playing list to about 30+ games but I just got Batman and it just keeps growing, and sometimes I loose track. I found Mirror's Edge in the back of my game cabinet and I totally forgot about it, heh still need to play it.

Maybe instead of calling it a "Now Playing" list it should be called a "Backlog" list instead.

Modern Video Games / Re: Watch Dogs and The Crew Has Been Delayed
« on: October 26, 2013, 05:36:56 am »
I actually find it a positive thing when games are delayed, means they have some serious issues worth fixing and tweaking. I always find it disappointing when a game is released with too many bugs then we have to rely on patches to fix them. Darksiders II was a perfect example, one of the side quests just didn't work and needed a patch just to proceed further.

Site Feedback / A Now Playing List or Backlog List
« on: October 26, 2013, 05:30:13 am »
Want to start off by saying I really like the community here at vgcollect, the topics are interesting in the forums, no trolls or elitism regarding which system is better or what not. Just a community of people that are really passionate about video games. It's rare to see and I greatly appreciate a place like this  :D Everyday I'm here browsing collections or at the NeoGaf forums as well, fun place to be.

I understand this place is an ongoing project and a lot of great things are happening, my suggestion would be if a "Now Playing" list can be added in perhaps? This day and age I believe a lot of people have huge backlogs with game sales happening everywhere and steam sales, people are racking up quite the backlog. I find it hard sometimes to see which games I still have left to play, heh. Maybe a "Now Playing" list to show what games we are playing to keep track of and what we want to play down the line. If there is a "Now Playing" list already implemented and I just missed it please let me know, heh.  8)

Other than that this is a brilliant site especially for collectors, I find it very relaxing just cataloging my game collection.

cheers

edit: changed the title of the topic to Backlog list too

Modern Video Games / Re: Who here is getting a PlayStation 4 / XBox One?
« on: October 25, 2013, 06:00:16 pm »
Definitely gonna get a PS4, probably not at launch, I'm looking more towards January or Feb, just to see how things go after launch if there are any major problems and what not. XB1... not really, maybe after a couple of years, maybe, see the what other exclusives it will have.

Modern Video Games / Re: Dark Souls II Collector's Edition

The collector's edition is definitely the version I want to get for this game. Souls games have been my most enjoyable gaming experiences this generation. Can't wait to play this.

Hi everyone, great site and community by the way. I'm Marcus, been collecting games since an early age and still going strong. I'm from Hawaii but moved to Asia 3 years ago and now I'm in Singapore. Glad to be a member here and share collections with other people.

cheers
