Features: Log In, View Collection, View Wish List, View Sell List, Add to Collection (and Wish List / Sell List), Search

To Do: Fix Auto Login Bug, Allow Filtering by Platform, Filtering by Letter, Updated Search, Remove from Collection (and Wish List / Sell List), Add Browse, Fix Barcode Search, Collection-based game info added - such as Notes field.

Hi Everyone,

To continue with the search updates, we've added functionality to the search so if you're searching by barcode (12 digits) it'll search by barcode instead completely automatically. Please let me know your thoughts of the feature!

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that we are planning to do some scheduled server maintenance on Monday January 30, 2017. We will try our best to limit the amount of down-time we have for this. The updates should help pave the way for some additional updates including updates to fix some existing issues with the current search functionality.

I spend some time over the weekend working this out and I just rolled out the Anniversary Badges (long overdue) and fixed up what issues we may have been having with the Edit Badges. I'm happy to announce that Kodemaan has been added to the VGCollect staff! :-)

Steve (aka Kodemaan) is a web developer and is helping with some additional things behind the scenes. He was behind the recent update to the Search algorithm.

We look forward to bringing more additional features and updates to VGCollect.

Please help me in welcoming Kodemaan to the staff!

We have just overhauled the algorithm for the search on VGCollect. This should help to find games more easily from any of the search locations. If there are any issues, please let us know. Also, please let us know what you think.

News / UPDATE - Shelf View

Hi everyone,

Thank you for being patient with me. I know it's long overdue, but we've been working on getting the Shelf View up and running. I have tested it with some of the staff. We're planning to open it up to Pro members and hopefully iron out any issues that may still be present. Once that is done, we plan to release it to everyone else. It will be an option and you can switch back to the normal view if you prefer. I look forward your feedback! :-)

Pro Members and Staff Members should be able to access the option from the Settings Page (Under the user icon on the main site). Then you can select which view is your default and "Shelf View" will be selectable. Once it is selected (and saved) you will have to log out of your account and back in to see the change.

VGCollect for Android / Starting Up Development Again on the Android App

I'm currently working with a developer for an updated Android App. Development on this has stagnated and I'm trying to get this started again and get a new version up and running as soon as we are able to. For the new app we plan to have the features that are available in the current app as well as the rest of the functionality that was originally planned. Also, we hope to have an more modern design/back-end to go with it. I look forward to spear-heading this initiative and delivering a new app while also working on the development/maintenance of the website. I'll keep you updated as I have more information on its progress.
