Admin Alert, server was full today 72 at once, might have kicked me and others

my browser was telling me today that the server was full, (when I tried again I found the the server had 72 on at once I just I thought I let the ones in charge know. it appeared only in the forum mode, not in the collection mode. For about 3-7 or 8 minutes or longer not sure if anyone else was having this happen to them I am not complaining I just thought I let someone know

under where it said users online there were about 3 or 4 users or more and 72 guests when I was finally able to get into the forum

72 guests alone were on at when that happened

I've seen the message when the forum only had 12 users. Jason has already been made aware of the connection issues that seem to happen at random, once I first noticed it happening about a month ago.

I want to preface this by saying I know almost nothing about this.... but..

Are the servers rented out from a third party company? if so it might be that they are only allocating a very small amount of server space to this site because of useage (or lack there of).

It is not related to available space. It is a utilization issue. But like you, I do not know the details of how it is configured.

The idea is that there is a maximum number of "connections" that can be made to the database. On our site, those connections are made in these ways:
1. using the forum
2. viewing the site
3. users modifying their collection
4. using the mobile app

When that maximum number is reached, then you will get behaviour like this:
- too many connections error on the forum
- items not loading on the site (collection will have zero items, index won't show forum threads, etc)
