I think I meant to change it to "Unofficial Release" because it was listed as a homebrew at first. It is a retail product but unlisenced.

The release type is in context with the category. So any game in GBC category is relative to the console. A product may be licensed as far as the content (Shantae) by the manufacturer or distributor, but that does not mean it is licensed by Nintendo, the maker of the console. So for a product such as this, it should be Unofficial Release.

https://vgcollect.com/item/143267 have a 5017783024241 barcode which seems to be a NL one judging from Google search and other games from a person that added the barcode to the database, but I have a (more popular) copy with 5017783024203 barcode which seems to be UK one.

Seeing this entry is the only one in database, how should it be corrected without causing much interruption?

Seeing how this entry was intended to be the standard EU release, revising the barcode field with the correct information seems best. The information for the [NL] version would be dropped from the database entirely unless you go out of your way to create an entry for a [NL] release and then add its corresponding information to such an entry.

The thing is there's really not much of a time difference between his posts, plus by the time he posted there were no admins or mods to notice and potentially get confused or whatever.

Just for this thread, or in Dupe thread, category or dev/pub requests, please no post editing. It is a simple request to avoid edit overlaps, which used to be quite common in the past before we started to ask users to not edit posts.
