I manage to mostly avoid bad games, but holy crap, controversial opinion, I loathed Breath of the Wild as soon as I got past the sip test. It was miserable. Constant enemy fights that took several minutes, broke all my good weapons, dropped a crappy stick in return for all my effort. It made exploring a nightmare so I just stayed put on roads avoiding most of the game, then they threw in the ninjas, literally. I never could bring myself to go defeat Ganon even after completing all four guardians. It was all far too tedious. I felt so defeated for not getting why this was the "best" Zelda ever. I think I'll probably skip the sequel.

There's gotta be something worse than BOTW that you've played lol I love the game, it's one of my favorites, even with some of the issues I have with it, and it's totally fine to not like that game, but it's still objectively a good game even if you weren't a fan of some of the decisions they made.  If it is the worst to you, I gotta say, you've had quite the good gaming life then lol

Oh yeah, I totally feel ya with that one. I hate the idea of all weapons you have breaking. Honestly, if this is a feature certain games MUST have, then I’d just have the more powerful weapons able to break and have the more basic weapons be unbreakable. Also, I’d maybe have an item placed in the world that gives ALL the normally breakable weapons unlimited durability, but make it a challenge to obtain.

Huh, I’ve never heard of that one. (Although that’s probably a good thing tbh.)

This sounds more like a case of a "least favorite" game rather than "worst".

I had some pretty terrible games on the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance as a kid. The one that comes to mind for me us SpongeBob SquarePants: Legend of the Lost Spatula

Currently Playing:
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes (PS4), Resident Evil 5 (PS4), Pokémon: Ultra Moon (3DS), SSX3 (PS2)

least favourite game is still worst game ever played so that's not going to make a difference.

Not in the slightest.  That's the same as saying that you can't like a game even though it's bad.

If your personal experience for a certain game is that bad, no matter how good the game is in the eye of the general consensus, for that person it is the worst game that they have ever played their personal experience was rough after all.

Just because a game is praised by many and being objectively great overall, doesnt mean that there are some people out there who actually find it to be the worst game ever. Different Opinions exist.

I'm not sure if I can think of a "worst game ever" to put down. There are many bad games but what makes them bad to me? If the game was released buggy, does that mean it is bad? Or does that make it not count? What about multiplayer games with no servers or those that do have server but have no players like Battlefield Bad Company 2? Certainly the single player of that game was good, but the multiplayer while existing had no other players so you could only just wander around the maps all by yourself.

What about games that have annoying control schemes, or ok controls but bad cameras? Is Castlevania: Lament of Innocence a bad game? I would never know because I could never get past the jumping phase of the tutorial.

I do have in mind, a game that might be good, but I class it as the "Best Looking Worst Game I've Ever Player" and that is Forsaken on PC. Running on a Pentium III with Glide mode enabled, the game looked absolutely amazing... but it ran too fast. Too fast to do anything besides crash into walls and explode constantly. Even using a joystick.

Or perhaps I should just say Daikatana and get it over with. A game I played when it came out, and had no problem with. I don't recall it looking as terrible as people said. I probably played it with cheats. The worst thing about it is that I apparently have no recollection of the game itself, other than it had a lot of green and there were annoying frogs. Having re-watched some modern reviews of the game from Civvie on Youtube, apparently I have no other memories of the thing and it was as if I had never seen what the game looked like.

Another un-fun game I don't like is FIFA 64 for the Nintendo 64, it was the vary first EA Sports branded Footbal/Soccer game on the Nintendo 64. The CPU is ruthless, and can often score on you within 3 second of gameplay and before you even know how to play on the easiest difficulty setting,

if you can get the ball at all then the CPU just steals it back and scores again, I am not a fan of video games that you need to be fast at them to win. I like to relax and just play all games at my own pace, and I like games even more if they actually are easy on easy then harder on other difficulties.

If I was back in my teens then maybe I could figure out how to play FIFA 64 properly. I am not alone because N64 Glenn Plant on Youtube does not like that FIFA 64 game either

9 people have the NA version on their wishlist, I'd recommend that they don't buy that game, unless they want terrible graphics and a ruthless CPU.

I'd recommend this one below $100% instead of FIFA 64

I am sure that there were many other bad games that I've played in life, but the ones that first come to my mind are the traumatizing Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade for the mighty Master System and the unplayabe Heavy Nova for the Mega-CD.

Even when I was younger, I was pretty good at not wasting my money on absolute shit, so I haven’t played a lot of the truly horrible stuff. Of course, however, some garbage inevitably crept in.

Probably the worst game I ever played...
E.T. on Atari 2600. My parents and I had this for our Atari and there was just so little fun to be had. Very slow, very tedious, and the controls to float out of pits were awful.

Dishonorable mentions:
AD&D Heroes of the Lance (NES) - I didn’t actually buy this one, it was a birthday gift. Horrible game design and hit detection.
Winter Games (NES) - Awful graphics and sound, somewhat playable but not a lot to it. Only 4 events available.
Fist of the North Star (Game Boy) - A one-on-one fighting game like Street Fighter, but with comically high jumps, maybe 3 moves per character, and (IIRC) no blocking. I sold this game because I couldn’t stand it.

I will list the some games that are really bad, not these that I don't like.

Dragon's Lair on NES
The SNES version of Pit Fighter
Terminator 2 on SNES
Superman 64 that is hors-concours
Aquaman on Gamecube
Criticom on Saturn
MTV Sports: Skateboarding on Dreamcast
Sonic Shuffle on Dreamcast
Sonic Heroes on PS2, there are so many glitches
Sonic the Hedgehog on PS3

I love Sonic games, but these are some play really bad.

They're mainly SNES for me, but out of the top of my head...

Brutal: Paws of Fury
Shaq-Fu
Weapon Lord
Justice League: Task Force
Ultraman
Bubsy in: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind
Claymates
The Lion King
Mario's Time Machine
Hook
Cool Spot
Spider-Man and the X-Men in Arcade's Revenge
The Adventures of Mighty Max
Dennis the Menace

Out of all of those, Brutal stuck with me the most since I remember I got it in a BOGO at Toys'R'Us and mainly because my kid-self got awestruck by the cover art. I mean, free is free, but goddamn it did the game suck! Not to mention it's a fighting game, which is a genre I've never been an avid fan of. And what's funny is the fact the first game I bought to get Brutal free was Killer Instinct. In my defense, I thought Brutal was some form of beat 'em up.
