Thank you VLC forum for any of you guys that have been tuning into my 24/7 broadcast
I just found out today that I't possilbe I'm getting about 16,000 or more listeners on and off every single day now I just can't see if or when they are listening because I just found out 100% of my listeners are using some kind of VPN software hiding their online status from all results.
I just wanted to report back that I am getting a TON of listeners and am using about 22GB of data each month on just my encoder software alone. that is how I found out about the listeners I. I just recently installed a bandwith program that tells me how much traffic is leaving my server and it's about 600MB-700MB in a 24 hour stance with a consistent rate of 468kbs of uploading info from just my encoder software
I own a 64k Stream so that means I have at least about (edit) 192 or more listeners every minute of the last 3 days. but becasue 100% of my listener I'm guessing? are using a VPN I can't see if or when anyone is listening
I am just hoping VPN's don't get even more advanced to disable this random number that at least tells me I have any listeners at all.
A VPN encrypts all data from anyone useing a service including a streaming service like me, threre are some downsides to using a VPN but the Internet is unclear about the disadvantages.
I installed the bandwith tracker because otherwise my online streaming software says I have 0 listeners due to the VPN's out there
Just so you know my bandwith tracker does not give out any location data about people connected to my stream, and even if it did I never looked at anybody's personal data or browsing history, I don't use a VPN so I don't understand why thousands of people are now using one, I don't think website give An F--- about one of the their customers personal browsing data if they are a legit website.
99.9% of websites out there as far as my experence don't hack people so I don't see why literly millions now use a VPN to hide all their IP in which is only a number and a location not a name or a building address. Sometimes an IP is just a cell tower too
and I needed a way to tell if I had any live listeners at all
