Who else here uses a Dvorak keyboard?
« on: September 04, 2012, 02:33:58 am »
I have been using one for almost 10 years and I can't stand it when I have to use someone else's computer because Qwerty just takes so much longer to use.

So does anyone else on here use a Dvorak keyboard?

After a lifetime of QWERTY I couldn't even imagine the chaos that would ensue if I started using a Dvorak keyboard. I really don't think that it is any simpler to use, just different. I can see how going over to QWERTY would cause you problems... however, since probably 98% of all keyboards are QWERTY you probably know how to use them even if it isn't your primary choice.

I use Dvorak too because the negligible amount of convenience I get from using it on my home computer is well worth the horrible frustration I feel when using virtually any other keyboard on the planet. Using Dvorak has definitely made my life easier.

I've tried switching three or four times, but I always end up using so many other computers, it becomes impractical.
