Jennifer's Body - Pretty solid horror effort from Diablo Cody, even if some of here late 2000s dialogue was cringeworthy at times.
Detention - Complete WTF of a movie.  I genuinely don't know what to make of it, other than I had a good time.
The Lords of Salem - Probably Rob Zombie's "best" movie, but not his most entertaining.

The Wailing - Legitimately incredible Korean horror film.  I don't think I'm going to see anything better this year.
The Omen - A classic, but not quite as good as I remember.
Possum - Real bizarre, but interesting.
The Dead Zone - Forgotten King adaptation of pretty decent quality.
Christine - Undervalued John Carpenter.
Only Lovers Left Alive - Good, but ponderous.

Not Time to Die - Too long, actually kind of boring.  Well made, but just did not work for me.

Halloween Kills is entertaining enough. Jamie Lee Curtis doesn't deserve top billing though.

I watched the "Injustice" movie.

It was entertaining but the ending made me feel like I wasted the time, not bad at all but I am sincerely thankful Injustice could end finally.

(Unlike they announce Injustice 3 tomorrow in the DCfandome)
I always have problems learning English, but I still love to talk a lot; I also enjoy being kind to everyone for no reason; if people can hate for no reason, then I can love; after everything I have gone through, I found a little peace.

The Blob (1958) - Fun little romp.
Devil's Diary - Lifetime move of the week version of Death Note, with Mean Girls and the The Craft mixed in.
Halloween Kills - What a mess.  There might be some decent ideas scattered in here, but they are buried in baffling storytelling decisions, bad editing, and atrocious dialogue.
Clown - Fun and interesting, but needed better actors and more of a sense of urgency.
Possessor - Trippy and gory high concept sci-fi from Brandon Cronenberg.
The Fly - Trippy and gory high concept sci-fi from David Cronenberg.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit - Still a masterpiece.

Injustice

Based on the DC Comics video game of the same name.

It was awesome. DC usually delivers when it comes to animated movies. And this was one of the best.

And it came with the two-part Justice League Animated episode "Injustice For All".

I was bored and thought I'd grab something recent to watch, figured I'd check out Fast 9 for some dumb fun and I think it might have just been dumb?  Like this series has been over the top for awhile and that was its appeal, but I think they finally pushed things too far.  The tech stuff is getting ridiculous and the stunts have gone from "Well that seems ridiculous, but fun", to "this doesn't even make sense".  And when they are losing me with the stunts, there's nothing left in these movies, because all of the writing is bad or cheesy.  There's nothing interesting going on when there's no action, and much of the action reminds me of a video game cutscene, but not in a good way.  I think I'm done with these movies lol

I needed to watch something actually good after that, and figured I'd go watch Nobody, something I've been wanting to watch for abit now and it is an absolute treat.  It's John Wick if it's a little more ridiculous, abit less serious, but that same level of quality action going on.  We even get Christopher Lloyd being a badass.  This one is just fun and it's so weird seeing Bob Odenkirk as an action guy, but they make it work really well.  I highly recommend this one if you are into action flicks.

Carnival of Souls - Very interesting classic kind of ghost story.
The House of the Devil - Incredible throwback to 80s style filmmaking.
Lamb - Not as much of a horror movie as the trailer would have you believe.  More of a weird family fantasy.
The Loved Ones - Teeters on the edge of torture porn, but manages to elevate itself.
Pan's Labyrinth - del Toro's best.
Lord of Illusions - Solid Barker, but better in concept than execution.
The Taking of Deborah Logan - Decent found footage marred by terrible performances from the "documentary" crew.
Suspiria - Absolutely stunning to look at.  Kind of hard to actually watch.

The 'Burbs - Fun dark comedy, but not as good as I remember.
Dune - Pretty spectacular, but honestly missed some of that Lynch weirdness.

Dune was a pretty fantastic film.  I know nothing about the book and only vaguely remember bits of the previous movie, but this is great.  It's really interesting, I was very engaged with the world.  Some very interesting musical stuff to it also, as that isn't something I usually notice personally, but the director is known for doing good stuff with that as I really liked his previous movie, Bladerunner 2049, also.  I'm glad it's likely going to see its full run as I definitely want to see where the story goes.

Friend wanted me to watch Trick 'r Treat as he is a big horror fan and he's real into it and I had some fun with it.  I don't watch a lot of straight horror movies like this, I've watched a few slashers, and I've watched a lot of zombie stuff, and of course things like Evil Dead 2.  With horror, I tend to prefer more interesting settings, so like a zombie movie is hopefully involving kind of an apocalyptic scenario, that sorta thing, or maybe it has some comedic or action focus.

Trick 'r Treat is good general horror, it's one Halloween night, telling it from a few different perspectives, lot of creepiness, some gore, actually less than I was expecting from something like this.  Sam is an interesting horror mascot, very different from the usual ones, but sounds interesting enough.  It's a good watch if you want a horror flick.

Also got back into Baki on Netflix, I dropped it after the first part was done, because the CG they were using for fights was not great, it was really jarring compared to the normal animation and it killed any interest I had in the show.  That being said, it seems in the second part, they've mostly dropped the CG action, which has greatly improved the show for me.  The animation isn't amazing, but it's very competent for sure (Thank god this is isn't as bas Record of Ragnarok lol).  What sells this show is the insane characters, fights, and interactions.  It's just the dumbest plot and story, it might even be a bad adaptation with how badly paced it feels, but one character has sex for the first time (A multi-day marathon) and it releases his full potential, or some characters are so strong they can stop blades with their muscle or event full on shotgun blasts.  It reminds me a lot of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure in how over the top and ridiculous it is, but involving far more ridiculously muscled men than even Jojo had in its first few arc's lol  But that stuff is what is keeping me interested.  Gonna stick with it for now as I heard the story gets even more batshit insane lol

Ouija: Origin of Evil - Shockingly decent.  In Flanagan we trust.
You're Next - Maybe my favorite home invasion flick.
The Thing - Horror masterpiece.

Finished Baki and Baki Hanma, which is just the newest season, but for some reason they separated it from the previous shows listing, which is really dumb and makes no sense as it's a straight continuation, not like it's Naruto Shippuden or something.

Great show, it's the dumbest show for how ridiculous the characters and writing is, like the writing gets kinda bad at times and its hard to know if it's trying to be serious, because you can't be serious with anything that goes on in this show.  It's Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, but ramped up to 11.  If you are into action anime, I highly recommend this show, the first part isn't great, mostly because they tried using CG for the fights and they don't blend well at all in anyway, but I think in Part 2 they realized that no one liked that, and dropped it and it was great for the following 3 seasons.  This show doesn't really have "Sakuga" moments, like none of the fights are One Punch Man season 1, it's the more standard way of doing fights, but they do it really well with the art and selling the impact of all the hits.  Like thank god this isn't "Record of Ragnarok", because that show should've just copied what Baki has done, but I guess they didn't have the budget for it or something lol

I hear a lot of people rave about Babylon 5, so I gave it a go. I finished the pilot movie, "The Gathering"...oh my gosh was that boring. Please tell me it gets better. Because if that was any indicator, there's no way it's better than the Star Trek shows like many have told me
