Atari 2600 question
« on: July 17, 2013, 03:28:39 pm »
I recently purchased a 2600 with 4 games, 2 paddles, and all the hook ups in fantastic condition for $20.  As part of the deal the guy threw in toe jam earl, cyber sled, and a videostack Game Center.

How much is the Game Center worth because I also have the box and instructions paper with it?  The box is a little beat up and has tape on it.  The only thing I see that's similar on eBay is going or $160.  The model number is Vgc-50.

Is it the Atari 2600 game center? It has the wood-grain finish like the Atari 2600 console, and plastic dark (but see-through) lid with it?

If it is, I don't think it's worth all that much. I bought an Atari 2600 on eBay with one of those, and 30 games, and it was about $50.

Was it this:

If so, not much. I searched completed listing on ebay. You could probably get $15 -$20. But I see it constantly listed and never selling for $40-50. But if your not interested in it, you could possibly list it and get most of your money back...

It's like that but it is videostack and has the original ox.  Those sets only have the center and system with the occasional games.

That is the tele games version.  One is videostack and has the original box

That is exactly what I was describing in my post. Mine didn't come with the box, but it was that. Either I got an out of this world deal on it, or that's an exorbant price for one.

I can't imagine those being worth much.  You see them everywhere.  Maybe not that exact model, but there were 1000 variations of it.  I have 3 if you want one.  :D

I know they are everywhere but is the box worth anything?

You asked if it was the Atari brand not the videostack.  They all look the same but their were different news produced.
