I'll be honest, I'm kind of sad about this. Despite all the crap he got, he is a very smart guy. And not just business. He did very well on the Putnam exam, which kicked my ass. Ballmer is the last of the original big shots in the home computer market still active. Woz and Paul Allen left a while ago. Jobs passed away. Gates retired. Bushnell started making robotic mice...

There was a certain level of public celebrity tech figures had that won't exist anymore once they all leave the industry. To Ballmer:
