This article at Atariage should be helpful.  Mark from Classic Game Room loves the first one on the list.  If I understood correctly the 2600 joysticks work for games that only need one button.  I have actually never played a 7800 so my knowledge is limited.  I bought a 2600 when I first started collecting as I did not know the 7800 played 2600 games :/

Thanks for the controller stats.  The 7800 price is a little too steep so I got the 2600 instead for 50, with the box and a few games.  It comes with 2 joysticks, 2 paddles, and some racing controllers or something.  I like the Genesis controller idea as I use it when I play most Master System games as well.  Now I just got to get some adapter or something to plug to the tv because the switch box does not have the rf part at one end like it should :(  i been looking up the gameplay on those games you submitted to make my own top 20 or 25 list to get games.  Not complete yet tho.   The one that is sticking out the most is Keystone Kapers where you're going through the mall.  That one looks awesome to me.

@90s

If you watched Classic Game Room on a regular basis, you'd get it. Whenever there is a "best of" or "best ever" game discussion, no matter what console or time period may be being talked about, Mark from Classic Game Room always gives Cosmic Carnage for Sega 32X as his answer.

Finally made it back on to VGCollect.  Got my Atari 2600 and I love it!!!  Thank you guys for the recommended games  :D  There are still a few multi player games I want to play with my children like Activision's Checker's, but I love this thing!  I can't believe I never owned an Atari

If there's any Atari 2600 game that can keep me occupied for hours, it's Kaboom.

It's a perfect game. There's nothing about it that could be improved on by being on another system. It's the paddle controller that makes it great. If you play it without the paddle, it's no fun at all.

That is why it is my favorite system of all time. But again (Controversy Time) I like E.T. on the system.  ;D It never disappoints. If you want to try lots of games I highly recommend a hormony Harmony Cart. http://harmony.atariage.com/ You can get the roms and put them on an SD card and play your games through it. I use it for when friends come over to play so they don't mess with my originals. :)

I'm assuming Custer's Revenge would be on a cart like that...  ;D
