The game was never released in europe, what is pictured on the second one with dual languages is a variant from Canada.

Two people from Europe have the second one, so we can't just change an item's region. While I don't question that the specific Canadian variant doesn't exist, we have to be sure that a specific European release wasn't made.

Do you have a link or website that can help with this? I couldn't find anything to prove that this wasn't released there. (I rejected your edit while we clear that up.)

They have two different SCUS numbers (94950 / 94954).

They're not the same item, despite having the same cover. I'd have to ask the guy that added that second one to clear up what version of the game he has first.

These two people from europe imported their copy, or bought it from someone who did.

For everything Master System, the reference is smspower.org. There you can check a scan of the back of the box, which clearly states it was distributed by Irwin Electronics for Canada only.

European releases never* have dual language on their box, they either are English only or go full localisation, with multi languages at the back of the box. Dual English/French multimedia products is something specific to Canada, due to Quebec regulations.

* At least I have never seen nor heard of one.

Thanks for that. I know very little about the Master System so I asked you to show me proof because I don't want to mess things up for people.

I'll submit the corrections in a bit.

Edit: Done, I also sent PMs to everyone who has that game so they're aware of the change.

http://vgcollect.com/item/35393 is a duplicate of http://vgcollect.com/item/20204. Qix Adventure was only released in Japan and Europe, not North America.

http://vgcollect.com/item/50682 should be removed as http://vgcollect.com/item/7906 and http://vgcollect.com/item/16044 cover both variations.

(See my reply later in the thread.)

http://vgcollect.com/item/41446 and http://vgcollect.com/item/51958 . How do you want to deal with them? What should be the title and alternate title? There are also German and Spanish variations not in the database yet. You can find all cover scans and more here.

( - I've modified the Roi Lion entry to have the French title since the cover art it was created with was the French one. The entry only had one modification - a title change to "The Lion King." -- Foxhack)
