How to handle ESRB rating varients
« on: October 12, 2014, 10:18:52 pm »
I'm not sure how to handle a variant I have of Kirby's Avalanche. It appears I would have to add a new entry but want to make sure I get the title right. The original listing we have has an ESRB rating of K-A while the version I have is E for everyone. The item number for the version I have also has an appended -1 at the end so I think it's a revision.

Do we track re-rated games? I was under the impression this was fairly common in early games, but browsing through the Super Nintendo category, I don't see any variants. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Yep.

Lion King Activity Center

We already track these for the Europeans (they really have a mess when it comes to ratings), just add the game with (whatever Rating goes here) in the title and mention it in the item description.

For Mario Kart 64 Players Choice I created a new entry and added (E Rating) to the end of the title.

What I am not sure on is whether (K-A Rating) should be added to the first releases of the games that do have multiple rating variations.

Thanks for the advice!

Here's the listing I made.

The box picture was the best I could seem to find with the E rating. The cart picture is my own  :).

If it makes sense to change the other listing to state the ESRB rating in the title, let me know and I'll submit an edit.

Yeah, go ahead and edit the other listing so it will be easier to differentiate between the two.

Just submitted the edit. Should I somehow let everyone who had the original version know there's been a change and to check which version they have?
