Clicking the search icon should set input focus to search box

When users hover over the magnifying glass, focus is set to search box (good).

When users click the magnifying glass, focus is lost. (bad)

Please set focus to search box when clicking the magnifying glass.

I agree, but I'd rather there be a dedicated search field on the site without having to resort to that pop-up.

Agree with that. Every saved click counts! The search box should always be visible.

This is something that's in the works for the next version update! I can't say when that will be rolled out however, but rest assured, it's going to happen

I agree! It can be very annoying when you let go of the mouse and the search box just disappears.
