Not a Kickstarter, but still a crowdfunded campaign:

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
https://www.fig.co/campaigns/deadfire

$72 for the campaign-exclusive physical boxed game.

Both Obsidian and InExile have been porting their crowd funded games to consoles, but they never make the console versions incentives. Since I much prefer to play on console than PC, I'll just keep waiting on the games from both of these studios.  :-\

became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the
desire to be very grown up.” ― C.S. Lewis

I found it weird that on fig there was no information for strictly investing considering fig is an investing site with facets of other crowd sourcing sites like rewards for non investing.

EDIT: NVM they updated it with investing info and its some of the worst investing I have ever seen for fig.

Not sure if anyone followed Sundered but towards the end of the campaign, they updated with a PS4 physical. It was part of the 99.99 pledge and included both PC and PS4 physical release.

If you are interested, they have a slacker backer going on til the 23 : https://www.humblebundle.com/g/sundered

I played this at PAX South, it's an alright game.  Hoping they work on the platforming mechanics.

A good friend of mine just launched a KS for his game MetalS0na this morning. It is inspired by JRPGs like FFVII and Chrono Trigger. I made a thread for it in General, but thought I'd post it here too.

I typically will not back a Kickstarter unless LRG has a hand in it.

So far I'm doing good on Kickstarters with Shovel Knight and Yooka Laylee.  I have A Hat in Time and Bloodstained up next.  A Hat in Time will be out this year, so another success, and Bloodstained will hopefully pan out.  Oh and I quickly helped a learning Japanese RPG that released pretty quickly that I think came out fine.  On a roll for sure.

learning Japanese rpg? like an rpg that's designed to help you learn Japanese?

Yeah, the first one came out called "Learning Japanese To Survive - Hiragana Battle" and it teaches you how to learn and write hiragana.  It's done with RPG Maker I think, but it's like an old Final Fantasy game where there's a villain and the things you fight are the hiragana characters and the only way to damage them is to use what they are called as the attack.  In between battles you learn new stuff and even learn some simple common words and such, some of which use the hiragana you learn.  I honestly haven't put enough time into it to say that I learned a ton, but it's meant to be a fun stepping stone into the language.  Once things settle down for me, I plan to go back to it.

The newest one is Katakana War and you can tell what it teaches.  That's the one I kickstarted, even having not finished Hiragana, just because it seems like an interesting idea to support.
