Now that I think about it I haven't played too many actual co-op games: Pikmin 2, Ratchet Gladiator, Crash Bash, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Super Mario Galaxy.  The only ones that I kind of enjoyed co-op

I find that I've had just as much, if not more fun with friends playing single-player games: Luigi's Mansion, Metal Gear Solid 3 and Vagrant Story to name a few.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is so much fun co-op! I really enjoy playing that with friends if you have enough GBAs and link cables.  :o

Just one person playing really, these 3 games specifically have drawn in a lot of collaboration in the past, I've still enjoyed and had a great time while someone else is playing.  So you could label that Collab instead of Co-op

Diablo III for sure. It has more actual play hours on my PS3 than any other game. I think other than MK, it has the top play hours on my 4 as well.

Guess that's why I'd never heard about Diablo being on PlayStation

While I haven't done this myself, I heard Resident Evil 5 is way better with a co-op partner, since the AI is kinda crap.  I still enjoy the game solo, but I certainly could imagine that game being a lot more fun with a competent player partner.
