I don't have any consoles older than NES because I'm a scrub.

I had to Google it but my oldest game is the NES version of Donkey Kong, I think. Google says '83.

Any of the original black box NES games would be your oldest as they were all launch titles released in 1985 in the US. Unless you have the Japanese Famicom version, which was released in 1983, then 1985 would be your oldest NES game.

I want to say I still own the same three carts that came with our Atari 2600 (though the system and a bunch of the games we had are long gone) which were Combat, Gunslinger, and Speedway II.

For me that would be Alex Kidd in Miracle World for the Sega Master System or Super Mario Bros. for the NES.

If you exclude things like cards and board games and it had to be electronic... that would be my Sky Jump pinball machine from 1974. A full electro-mechanical pinball machine that probably did a number of years in a bar somewhere before finding its way to me somewhere around 1987.
http://ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2195

Portable game would be Blip by Tomy. which goes back to 1977. A mechanical pong like game that uses a series of gears and cams to move the ball and 3 buttons per player to act as the paddle. The only electronics in it is an LED that indicates the ball. Movement is powered by winding the timer and scoring is mechanically advanced when you guess wrong on where the ball will land.
I picked it up in a thrift store in 1981 for like fifty cents... which was a major score for a kid my age back then.

For consoles I have the launch titles for the Atari VCS (1977), but they are not the copies I grew up with. that original heavy sixer and about 70-100 titles disappeared into a box when my parents recently moved so my current collection is starting from scratch a couple years ago. I do however have my original Magnavox Odyssey² (1978) although it was after the switch to built in controllers and the games, voice module, and they were bought starting around 1980.

Not all the Black Box games were launch titles.  In fact, I don't think either Donkey Kong or Donkey Kong Jr. were launch titles.   For some reason though, Donkey Kong Jr. Math was?   :o

Ok so if that is the case the OP's Donkey Kong may not be his oldest NES game if he has other black box titles that were part of the 17 that launched with the system in 1985.

my old games are up in the air for debate...

my oldest video game is the first releases of the Atari 2600. combat for certain.
my oldest board game is a monopoly board from the 1950's
my oldest puzzle game is a original rubix cube.
my oldest game item that is traceable is a late 1840's early 1850's wheel that my great great (unsure how many greats) grandpa was photographed with while holding a stick. we are under the assumption that he hit the wheel with the stick to roll it. (yes people actually did that)
my oldest untraceable game item is a chess/checker piece that my grandfather found on his farm one day that was made out of deer antler
PS2 Palooza: 8/2XXX games finished
Now Playing: Dark cloud
Stopped recording so now back on track.

The games for the Magnavox Odyssey 1.
The first game console ever made in 1972, can't get much older then this. lol  ::)
You have to put plastic sheets on the TV screen to get graphics. lol

What if I had a PDP computer with Computer Space on it?

...I don't, but that is one thing that could be older.

Still, that's pretty freaking awesome. Are you able to hook it up? I heard the connection it uses is so old and outdated, that you can't even play them anymore.

It uses an unique rf box. As long as you have that piece you can use it. In fact i have hooked it up to a 1080p hdtv and it plays fine. The plastic graphic sheets wont stick to the screen though. Weird thing is the light rifle works on the hdtv but the zapper or most any other light gun doesn't. Lol

And if your lucky to own original 60s pdp computer with computer space on it your the king of game collectors. Lol

My oldest game is not very interesting, it's Super Mario Bros. for the NES. But for the sake of completeness, I'll put here my oldest games by system :

- NES : Super Mario Bros.
- SNES : Super Mario World
- N64 : Super Mario 64
- Gamecube : Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
- Wii : The Legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess (putting Wii Sports would be a bit of a shame for me)
- Game Boy : Super Mario Land
- Game Boy Color : Wario Land 2
- Game Boy Advance : Super Mario Advance 2 - Super Mario World
- Nintendo DS : Super Mario 64 DS (also, Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt demo)
- Nintendo 3DS : Pokemon Y
- Sega Genesis/Megadrive : Super Thunder Blade
- Sega Dreamcast : Sonic Adventure
- Playstation : Final Fantasy 7
- Playstation 2 : Ridge Racer V
- Playstation 3 : Sonic The Hedgehog
- Playstation Portable : Breath of Fire 3
- XBox : Dead or Alive 3

And I see that quite a lot of these titles are launch titles for their respective console.

Since I lost all of my pre-NES systems in The Great Divorce of 2015, I think the oldest game I have is a Game & Watch called Judge.  It's from 1980.
