I don't play to make my opponent salty.  I play to have fun.

People getting all salty and butthurt ruins the fun.

To much sure but otherwise you try to beat them in style.

*shrug*

I was just stating that I like beating people in style.  Like using Peach in Smash Bros. and using her backhand attack to bitch slap folks.

I'd rather tipper or dunk players, especially those who bitch clap folks for no good reason just because they are standing there looking to stylish  :o

What do you mean no good reason?  It's hilarious.

Also, laying down and posing as King Dedede.

If a tactic is consistently working, why would I change it?

I'd say game designer/competitive fighting game player David Sirlin best describes it in his book Playing to Win:

Competitive fighting game enthusiast here.

In your opinions is it cheating if i keep using any of my favorite moves, any of my favorite combos &/or any of my favorite finishers in any fighting games in general with any of my favorite characters & if i choose to?

Not at all. If it works for you, its up to your opponent to counter your limited options. Playing against CPU, Online, or IRL with actual other people all varies in results.

in my experience, using the same move from the same character is a really easy way to do one of two things (depending on what time of player you are playing against):

1. a player who is not very good - if they can't figure out the proper counter move, they get mad and either quit or stay bitter for the rest of the night

2. a player who is really good - they just beat you into the ground

so is it cheating? no.. but someone will end up annoyed lol

Interesting topic with a very simplistic style this garbage is pure gold.

On a side note I remember seeing this exact video back in the day from sirlin.

The days that items were legal in tournament matches. Bombs, pokeballs, assist trophies and hammer were not legal though

If someone keeps spamming the same move over and over again, and you can't counter it after it being used that much; you deserve to lose.
