My oldest system in terms of how long I've owned it, and also pretty close to being my the oldest overall, is my Intellivision.

When I was around 5 or 6 and started getting into video games (they had an SNES and Genesis at my daycare) I really wanted one of my own, but convincing your parents to buy such a thing is not always an easy task. I told my dad and he went into his closet and pulled out the Intellivision. To this day I can't get over how odd that is, because my dad never played any kind of video games in my lifetime. He gave it to me and my brother as well as the 5 or so games he had for it.

Over time he would pick up random games from the flea market he went to weekly (One that had been going on for decades as a community tradition that got closed down in the late 2000s when the land changed hands, to be developed into nothing yet still a decade later...) and give them to us, so we built a decent collection. The unusual nature of the system that no one I ever met in school knew of really kickstarted my interest in collecting video games.

It was technically in my family even before I was born but I've personally owned it for about 25 years, about 80% of my total lifetime.

I still have my first NES from the Deluxe Set I got Christmas of 1987. That's the one that I've had the longest.
The oldest I have is some kind of Radio Shack Pong Clone called a TV Scoreboard.  It's from 1976 I think.

My first console was an Atari 2600, but we sold it in the late 80s.
So the oldest console I currently own is my original NES, which I got around 1988 or so.
That is, unless you count Nintendo Game & Watches. I still own all 13 I had as a child, with the first one I owned being the Snoopy Panorama model, which I received as a gift around ‘85-86 or so.

My oldest owned console is my Game Boy Color, received for Christmas, I think? When I was 13 or so. It's followed up by my PS2, purchased with my high school graduation money. The laser died on it once, but that was back when Sony was doing free repairs on lasers, so I mailed it in & it's been fine since.

My oldest console in general is a model 1 Fairchild Channel F. You can't get too much older than that!

My oldest console was my NES but it fried due to a bad power adaptor. :(
Following that would be my Genesis Model 2.

the one I've had the longest is my Game Boy Advance SP, I got it new and it still looks almost new. Those things are so well built.

I still have a Philips Odyssey 2100, it used to belong to my dad and was allready in the family before i was born. It was allways hooked up on the family TV untill we got an Atari 2600.

The first system I saved for myself was my NES.

Similar to OP, my NES when I was around 2 years old 1989. My second oldest system owned would be SNES, since the early 1990s. My first PC had a large floppy disc drive, can't recall details no longer in possession unfortunately.

I think I got a deluxe set right around the same time as you. Still have it, still works. I also still have my Atari 2600 I got in 1981 or so ($250 used with 4 games....that was a big deal for a struggling family). I haven't tried that Console since the 80's, but it's still at my folks house. I do have a working 2600 mini (late 80's model) that works fine...that's why I haven't touched my original 2600 in @30 years. All Atari stuff is in storage though...NES is here with me and hooked up every so often.

I've still got my older bros's childhood GameBoy color systems from probably 1998 or so. Other than that, I've got my original Game Boy Advance from 2002 I think. The oldest system I have complete with the box and everything is my Platinum GameCube from 2003
