I went ahead and finished the game. Turns out you can keep playing after the final battle. You get to create a new save file that is set before the final battle. However, you keep all of the experience and items you gained from that area. When you choose to enter the final battle they don't take you straight to a fight, it's more exploration with random battles and chests to find. Also, after creating the new save file they add more content. I didn't look around but a message popped up mentioning there are some more things to do, including more battles at the Solosseum. I may take a break now and check that stuff out at a later date.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the other day that I got my wizard's edition the other night and, despite the fears and rumors about DR's fulfillment, the game box was sealed and pristine.  Then I put it back in the shipping box and packaging and tucked it away in my studio for some special day :\

So Im sitting around 80 hours in now. I have completed every bounty and errand available. Ive done all of Horace's puzzles. The final area is all mapped out. Im on rank S of the Solosseum. Im still really enjoying the game. Im thinking of beating it, I just dont know if there is post game stuff. I imagine there is cause my errand percentage isnt 100% and my companion and my monster kill list isnt 100% either. I havent gotten too far into the alchemy yet (25%) and really want to see what that has in store too. Plus the Draggle comes out in a few days!

Another update. 83 hours in and Im about to go give the final fight a try. My characters are level 80 now and I finally scored me a Mermite familiar to go with my Dynamite buddy so once he gets some levels, Im going to have a pair of fire and ice badasses! If you guys are exp hunting, walking around the final dungeon really goes well if you happen to find a Tokotocold. Hes worth like 28k which will give most familiars 2 levels a pop. Dont bother wasting your time trying to steal from him either. I thought he would have something super rare to steal but its just a minorly uncommon alchemy item which is also stolen from much more common enemies and drops. When you see him, go all out on him cause he will most definitely try to run away if you dont slaughter him asap.

Well, I gave the final fight a try. I lost the first time but came back and won. Very cool ending to the story .. and definitely some post game content. A lot really. I am so happy that I can continue on!  :D

Good to know!  I've been killing the regular Toko on one of the islands for 2k exp each.  I just got to the Sky pirates part and am Rank B so far in the Soloseum.  I'm having a really hard time making money (chips or w/e) in the casino, have any of you had any luck?  I have about 200k and I'm thinking I'll just buy the chips later, but then the rewards will probably be pretty weak.

Once you beat the game, the final rank S of the rewards opens up and its probably the worst rank of them all. Me personally, I havent done anything in there but look around.

I never received mine.  Got refunded, but was looking forward to the game.  :-\

Bad thing is I had it pre-ordered since they first went up and I still got the boot.

That sucks. I think they should have went down the pre-order line.

In other thoughts ... the Draggle familiar is still not available yet. I swear PSN is so slow some times.

Draggle is in the PlayStation Store now guys. Don't forget to download it.

Lucky for me, I haven't even gotten to the point of turning in tickets yet. So I will have both Draggle and Griffy to level as I go. :D

That's Digital River for you.  If I ever see them running anyone's online store I am not bothering with them.

I have seen these for sale by the truckloads to the assholes that bought multiple copies just for the sake of cashing in a quick buck.

Yes, I am pissed about this and probably will be for some time.

I showed this to my GF (well, in game, not the video) and she instantly wanted a Mitey plushie. Ha, so flipping adorable. I love the little things in this game.

Went to pick up my display poster from Gamestop today. Its actually pretty big. I cut the "Now available" strip off the bottom and its a bit smaller but it looks better without it. Today is the day they are scheduled to change them out so if you get near a GS of your own, you may be able to snag one.

Yeah Mitey's chocolate noises are pretty awesome!  The gamestops near me are complete garbage and have no desire to make customers happy.  I've walked in there many times to inquire about things and they've made it clear don't care at all.
