I don't have the room in my house to have full desktop PC rigs set up, so I have a TOL high-end laptop from each Windows era for gaming I treat as its own console.  I have a Gateway Solo 9500 laptop I use that has Windows 98 Plus! on it. It plays games just fine, but it was never intended as a gaming PC, it was made as a business PC. But it's got an incredibly huge screen for the time it came out, which makes it great for gaming. I didn't have to do anything to it, its just as it came from the factory, although it originally was shipped with Windows 2000 ME on it, downgrading the OS was the only change I made to it.
