My apologies but in 2015 I made some mistakes and just now caught it. I have no idea what happened but I was new to the site and I guess I didn't know how to use the search very good, or maybe the search wasn't as improved at the time. Not sure if you can migrate the people from the dupe entry over to the original one or notify them to correct the change.

EDIT: I just now found out that these Xbox demos were release in 2 different case types of a cardboard sleeve and a NexPak hard case - this must have been why I made the duplicate entries. I wonder if the entries I made should be renamed to "(NexPak Case Variant)" and have the original ones that topspot created named to "(Cardboard Sleeve Variant)" or something like that added to the end of the titles? Not sure if case variations are counted as their own entries on this site?  It seems like that is what topspot was doing was adding in his collection of paper sleeve games, some of the cover artwork of his entries have been changed to the plastic case entries by other people unknowingly.

I know it'll never happen but it'd be nice if there was a way to prevent stuff like this.

I suggested a possible solution that I genuinely think would help appease nonsense like that.

I also believe certain users - those that contribute the most, accordingly AND properly - should be moved to a position where any edits they make don't have to be on standby for approval and go live as soon as said edits are made. This website is great and all, but it still has potential that hasn't been exploited (sort of speak). And yes, before anyone says anything, I know this website, and many others like this, are labors of love and worked on when time permits, but still...

That would be a possible solution - possibly just stating the type of variant only, as "case" or "sleeve". You can then add all information related to the item in the description box.

If they are in different packaging then yes there can be two entries. However, the term "variant" should never appear in an item title unless that term is printed on the item itself. Descriptors should be lower case, so you can use "cardboard sleeve" instead. What is a NexPak?

The current user management system is not ideal but this method you propose is not the correct way to do it. There is no way we would ever adopt a policy that allows user edits to go through unchecked. Even admins do not have this ability.

NexPak is the maker of the slim plastic case that appears on the inside of the case molded into the plastic. So you're saying the case descriptor should be in the description and not the title? Or put it in the title too?

Then make it so that if the edit is not proper/correct it can be reverted back upon review. Simple. This website is what, 7-8 years old and still feels like it's in a perpetual beta stage. Plenty of squandered potential if you ask me - it should take a page or two from VGMdb.

They are not dupes. Take a closer look at the images. The earliest creation has images of the Canadian release. Admin rejected my US images. Therefore, I created a US release version. I'm waiting for Admin to approve the original creation with the name change to de Blob [CA].
